The concept of selling one's soul goes back decades possibly even centuries though in the last few decades it has been portrayed in media countless times no doubt inspiring some to seek this out. The reason you cannot sell your soul is because nobody wants it and even if they did they would never deliver on whatever price you desire. Most of the selling one's soul I've heard is related to demons and Christianity to a point which references losing ones soul anyway based on poor life choices so in essence why buy what is free? Regardless of religious connotations or beings I do not believe selling one's soul is possible. Perhaps you can give it away but I don't believe you truly can either. You can devote yourself as some have stated but your soul is who you are. Without your soul you would just be an empty husk better off dead assuming you can even "live" without it. You soul is a valuable commodity but its true value is when you hold on to it.

I suppose it is true that you can be owned by one who you've sold your soul to, but why would you. Almost anything you want you can get by yourself. Want to be more powerful at casting spells? Practice. I see the ability to use magic like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. The more knowledgeable you are, the more you can acomplish. If you want to get better at guitar, practice makes perfect. Trying to sell yourself for something, in my eyes is not a smart more. Yes, it would be more instantaneous, but that's just being lazy if you ask me.

I recommend you find a site where the more common practice is of a darker manner. :)

Probably because Crowley was the original edgelord. Crowley loved to shock and horrify the polite society of his day. He said and wrote a lot of asinine things because he reveled in the attention it brought.Crowley made some great contributions to the occult world, but in the end he died a penniless drug addicted husk due to a lot of poor decisions.

I've heard the crossroads trick a time or two but one that was told to me personally by some old black witch was to go to a graveyard, preferably an old one for three nights in a row around midnight meditating upon your intention. On the third night a black cat should appear, the deal is done. Haven't done this so can't say for sure.
