1.) You don't necessarily "see" things being summoned with your third eye. Your third eye is just an outlet for magick whenever you cast spells.

2.) You don't really borrow eyes unless you believe in them/work for them. Then again, only if they deem you worthy.

3.) With enough practice, yes.

4.) To see what, exactly? Please clarify

if it's a physical being, you don't need anything to see it. if it's spiritual, you sense it, not see it.

Duriel, the third eye is about perception, and not actual sight. The name is being used ever mor broadly as fantasy and fluff are confused for reality.

Most people who work with spirits do not physically see them; at the least, they sense the entities in the form of emotions and thoughts. Some may claim a temperature shift, but it is personal gnosis. A large number of traditions which heavily involve calling spirits use types of divination to communicate.

If you are new to magic in general, I suggest you start with the basics. Establish a frequent practice of meditation and ritual for personal growth, sort of like regular exercise for those parts of your mind. Banishing is something you will first need to know, as it is unwise to call anything you cannot send away. Find a tradition -- a well-established tradition, and not just some book someone wrote about "I summoned something once!" -- to study about its methods. Do not rush. If it says to do some preparatory work for thirty days before reading the next chapter, then do as it instructs. There are reasons: It is training, in preparation for more difficult things.

When you are ready, you will know. You will not have to ask how to perceive a spirit; you will know how to perceive a spirit. You will not have to ask whom to call; you will know how to decide, and how to begin the process.
