banishing

hi how does a spell work? fo example an angry spirit was in my house moving things from it place when im gone and hearing whispers knoks and changing in tempriture i was very angry and i found a chant for banishing spirit i chanted out loud and nothing happend since that minute i need to know how foes a spell works? was that just because the chant? wat maked the chant work?

It could be the spirit it stronger than the banishing spell or it could be you didnt put enough energy into the spell or you have to much negativity which backfired the chant.

Also, try burning sage, it will remove the negativity in the area, and help you stay positive

Spells are more than just changing words.
You also need to know how to direct energy and the Will

Key to magick is Will, Belief and Desire
Of course there are other key elements that play a part of it, but I see this as essential.
