Why don't my spells work?

I just want to add that sometimes it might not be the right time for the spell to happen. With my 'get a dog' spell, I had to wait 8 years before it kicked in. Turns out I was missing some information that helped me greatly in my searches!

You might want to wait a bit longer. Som spells take longer to start working.
If you allow me to ask, did you write the spell yourself or did you get it from a book, site or someone else?

You could also write your own spell. That is what I do, than I know wich steps have been taken in creating the spell. Not that it is just writing something down and posting it on this site.

I would write my own spells if I was more experienced. I have very little experience so far & I don't exactly know what I would do or what ingredients/materials I would need

If you are unsure of these things then you should not be spell casting. You need all of the information behind what you are doing before you do it. Also, Do not rush a spell, worry yourself about when its going to happen or doubt it because it's VERY likely it will not happen.

One more thing. Workings can take weeks, months, and even YEARS! Do not count on every spell working manifesting in just a few days.

I'm thinking that the spells haven't had enough time to work yet.

So, I see my post turned up twice in here, so I thought I should adress this personally.

So, here are some questions you should ask yourself.

1. Is what Iam asking for possible? Can it be achieved without Magic? If not, then it won't happen.
2. Is the desired intent of this spell been obscured by outside influences? Protective Charms, Spirits etc - Note, Protective Charms/lucky charms exist in real life without someone needing to have any idea of what magic is or how it works - spirits can intervene too.
3. Do I truly need this desire? Can it wait until later?
4. Are my own personal struggles infuencing the spell? such as being overtired/stressed/finding it hard to concerntrate?

The thing about Magic is that its not a go to 'save my life santa maria' its not a pill that will cure all ills, its a tool like any other to make a task easier/help smooth out the bumps/to wreck stuff for someone else. Spells work in funny ways, and generally not in the way we expect - a lot of spells that are written are quite vague because they are meant to be bent, crushed and remade for each individuals purpose - however there are more specific spells out there for certain situations and settings, what I mean here is say you're doing a Love spell, something to bring more love into your life - you could end up with your friends being a bit more loving towards you, your pet staying closer to you or recieving help and support from others - it does not mean Prince Charming will stroll up and sweep you off your feet (though that is one outcome).

If there are any spirits surrounding you, they could interfere because they may see your spell as unhelpful - they may want you to face it without a magical crutch.

And sometimes - a Spell will just not work, it will fizzle out and die or miss the mark completely because of a plethora of reasons that I can't even explain in great detail.
