Beliefs?

Can someone with experience tell me about Hoodoo/voodoo belief system? I am considering studying it. Thanks a bunch.

There's no relation. Voodoo is a religion. Hoodoo is a magic system. Hoodoo doesn't worship gods or spirits or anything. Hoodoo is kitchen folk magic where a rootworker (hoodoo practitioner) uses kitchen magic (low magic) to get things done. Hoodoo is a very blunt and direct magic system. Use this herb = this result. Done. Voodou is praying to gods, saints, demons, spirits, etc. etc. etc. to get the desired result. While spirits and demons come into play in Hoodoo, Hoodoo is, again, NOT a religion.
