How do I reach the state in which I can visualize what my spirit animal is? I try to do it with guided shamanic journeys but when they tell me imagine things all I see is darkness since my eyes are closed.

Question 2: In astral projection, is it possible for your body to be possessed while you're in the plane?

For you to reach that state I would recommend meditation music such as binaural beats etc because the frequencies can help you reach those states of consciousness. And outside meditation try look at what animals are drawn to you or that you may see or feel around you the most. As in astral projection, I doubt it. If that was possible you are attached to a rope and when you think of your body you automatically snap back into it. I wouldn't be worried at all, of the ,astral projection experiences I've heard of were good and positive, the more frightened you are the harder it is to have an Out Of Body Experience

I was wondering since you know about the astral realm and animals, if a dead cat could be a familiar even if they weren't one in life. I figured that because they're dead they had access to information they didn't have before. If properly asked and accepted by both parties could it be possible?
And if not, could there be a continued relationship after death? A form of communication not dependent on third parties? What are a few paths one might go about to achieve this goal without hurting anyone?
