Animal Totems: HELP

so I got a incantation from a spell book to help me find my animal totem, guardian, and protector. Well I don't know if it worked or not the first night because I had a dream and in the dream was a jellyfish... like my dream was about my family having a cook out and my aunt brought a watermelon carved like a Jellyfish.

Is that my animal totem?

Twchnically you dont get a totem unless you are part of a native tribe and it is given to you. It is possible that jellyfish could be an animal guide though
