I'm not sure if you intended to sound this way, but your post seems a bit sarcastic, Winchester.
She felt like she did not deserve the rank she had, and admiting that takes courage. I think it's safe to say that if a newbie received a high rank, they would keep quiet about it.
Although they are rare, some people are honest enough to admit such things. I can see where they could seem sarcastic here, I believe they could have truly admitted.
No not at all Fen if I wanted to be sarcastic I would have been
I think it was a stand up post on account on the OP
Your post can be taken as sarcastically written though
Thanks guys, its also really about promoting a good level of equality on the site. Although I think in a lot of fairness after observation of various posts, much of what takes place on the site are misunderstandings rather than inequalities, I mean these are just words on a screen so it is hard for people to tell what is the meaning behind what's being said because there is no emotional content to hear. But we are human and we can't be perfect, not even this site. But all of us I feel do our best to make it as good as it can be :)
Indeed, people who have no tolerance are quick to argue and judge, which is not what this site is intended for. Nice on the promotion though and knowledge comes through time and experience.

I would think that the Rank of Beginner would be a member with no experience or knowledge at all; beginning from the very beginning!
Twilight, however, indicated on her bio that she understood the various "lessons" that could be learnt even from fiction; such as My Little Pony. So, Novice, which really means "beginner".(Look it up).
Personally, I have never "ranked" anybody, but perhaps we might say "Absolute Beginner, to "Novice=Beginner with some experience and knowledge".
Strictly speaking, Novice and Beginner have the same meaning!
That was the first thing I noticed when I joined the site and noticed the ranking system,A novice is a Beginner,I guess in this sense it May mean that a Beginner is totally just starting out and a novice has some years under their belt but still have a while to go
