A lot of posts like this simply get missed in the recent rorums, it is not because we are not community like it is simply that people missed it.

If you are very new I would suggest heading to the Basics Expanded forum, it is the first port of call for all newbies and is a great place to start.

Other than that I would say learn as much as you can before you start casting (if that is even what you want to do), read some great books on your topics of interest and know what can and cannot be done with magick.

I wish you all the best, any questions, ask the forums, you will almost always get a good response.

Most people on this site will not teach online, mainly because it is just reading. Most people find it easier to read and learn themselves, that way you can get lots of ideas and practices and make a craft that you feel connected to.

If you are completely new then the Basics expanded forum is usually the place to start, that way you can get the basics down before moving onto more advanced practices.

I hope this helps.

It does thank you. Thats why I want to find a teacher in my area but I have no idea how do find one. I was hoping someone here from this site could help with that. I live with family still who are very religious, so going all out study where I live is still a problem.

Books are reasonably easy to keep a secret, but unless you are over the age or 18 or even 21 it is difficult to find a teacher. Due to the religious laws in states/countries.

As far as books, there's also a good and bad idea: Some books are free in the public domain. That sounds like an absolute good, but there are also plenty of misleading books in the public domain. Actually, there are far more sources of bad information, and downloaded books must be scrutinized carefully before being taken as a teaching source. For someone who does not know better, this can lead someone down the wrong path -- that is, teaching them false or misguided information.

Granted, the same risk exists with actual books. Just do some careful reading, find reviews if you can, and be careful!

And I do not advocate piracy. If you download a free book, be sure it is in the public domain, and not an infringed copy!

Well, I am 25 years old. If anyone here is willing to take on a student over the phone and email to just teach basics I am more than willing! I don't do well with books starting out, once I get a grip on the subject, then I can read books. otherwise it will just confuse me.

So if you're open and willing, then please message me :)
