I don't read modern faery occult books. I stick with old folk tales and accounts. Ever heard of Rev Robert Kirk? He spent the better half of his life learning and living with the fae and was found dead on a fae mound after writing in his personal journal that he had broken their rules and was being judged for it. He's one of the most interesting ones for sure. His work was published after his death as the book, The Secret Commonwealth, which can be found in the public domain for free.

I would think saying thank you would be a sign of appreciation for anyone or anything for that matter. Just saying, as I am a thankful person.

I agree with Star, I find saying "thank you" a sign of appreciation towards someone or something.
