A lot of people think of vampirism as fluff, but there are ways it could not be, which that sentence may have just been discretion by you, but keep an open mind. The way it could work is it being a mixture of blood magic, that could keep the spell in action, immortality magic (prolonging life), and strength magic for the power, the teeth thing, I don't know. This has been "Vampirism just fluff?"

No, there are no ways that it "could be".
The whole concept of the vampire stems from the medieval misunderstanding of the processes of death. The modern concept of the vampire comes from fantasy novels and Hollywood films. You are not about to become a vampire through any sort of magical working.
Vampirism has two aspects, one is obviously the fictional side with the fangs and pale skin Creature, Other one's about psychic vampirism and is actually true, Psychic vamps suck energy via Astral means.
what i read in the book of summoning rituals for higher level demons, the magician usually draws a "T" in the middle of pentagram and hexagon which represents the path of life and death intersecting and the vampires are said to exist in the middle point of these two path which could also be said as inccubus & succubus. These comes in contact when an adept or can say a magician is travelling through here in astral form means only your mind can travel and a magician usually has to be aware and on guard in that situation. There function is kind of illusion neither dead nor alive and blood represent "life".
So if something like this even exists in rituals exist then they might exist for real.I might say that they usually cannot appear in sun because the illusionic presence will disappear because the sun rays reveals truth and they of course aren't like the ones we know. They are totally different!
