Thank you so much for that, and to take things to another level, wouldn't it be safe to say that since there are spells out there that can call to animals and plants alike, that since living creatures have electricity running through them like through the nervous system and the like that a computer would be more or less an animal? What are your thoughts on this?

I mean, we are organic computers. A pile of flesh piloted by a central intelligence. We're basically nature's super computers if you look at it from one angle.

It is also needless to say that some kinds of magic were born on and/or flourish on the Internet. At the very least, chaos magick and memetic magic, or other modern forms.

It is narrow-minded, in my opinion, not to see any worth in using technology, or even specializing in it, especially when you consider the effect magical phenomena may have on technology at times(from poltergeist activity to whatever else)

The internet can establish mental and psychic connections, sigils on a screen can be opened like those on paper, and even entire websites exist astrally as very real locations.

I agree with you to an extent, Matthew, but I wouldn't go so far to compare them to animals. They run off electricity, yes, but they would only have a minimal consciousness, rather than the full soul and mind animals have. Interesting thought tho.

AleksiH, I actually find that consciousness and souls rise from a particular grouping of patterns in the right situation, if one is to believe in animism and subtle body theory extending to the entire physical plane of existence to having a subtle counterpart.

Most objects have patterns enough to form preferences, which is why some things can "feel" a certain way, or something just doesn't sit right until you adjust it. Some patterns develop into what we as humans would call a more developed consciousness, which is why sometimes tools are named and have their own ideas about things. It's not terribly unlike thought forms that form out of circumstance rather than deliberate action.

That is quite interesting, I also do believe in Animism, all I meant to say is that they aren't as complex as an animal's soul

Sorry, you're going to have to be a bit more clear than your incoherent string of words present to be
