New profiles

I am new and just in a week I have been hit with messages of a rather disturbing nature by people with brand new profiles with no profile pics. On the paranoid side I think it's the same person generating new profiles just so they can mess with me. But like I said it's just paranoia. I was wondering if this is a common occurrence on this site.

Apart from being male, and location, there is not very much on your own profile. You could be a ten-year-old role player; or a 40 year old adept, for all we know about you.

My advice is to block every one of them. Don't reply at all. They will give up. It isn't a "common" thing but it is also not an entirely unheard of occurrence. There are all sorts of colorful people in the world. If the messages threaten your life or are sexually explicit, then I would report it to the administrator immediately.

I don't mean personal information.Age and experience, competence. What you have studied, what you are interested in.
The warning about personal details is about your postal address, email address.Nothing that can be personally traced to you.

I agree with WhiteRaven. If the e-mails make you uncomfortable then it is best to block the sender.

If the content of the e-mail is inappropriate, block the sender. Then save the e-mail in your "default" e-mail box and alert Petrarca, the Site Administrator. Pet will then look at it and take the appropriare action to prevent further occurrences.

Like on the other comments here, it's the best to ignore or block them. Beides, they would be tired sending too much messages to you. You may also contact the Site's Administrator to help you regarding this matter.
