Silver Ravenwolf should actually be avoided. She is very fluffy in her writings and confuses her information. She claims Wicca has a 5000 yr history that is unbroken which isn't true as well as gets info on traditions mixed up fact wise. Plus promotes lying to your non-accepting parents which isn't what a Wiccan elder should ever tell a minor. I love her wording for spells and that is it.

Why can't we accept that a coven sets its own rules. It was stated that a self reputable coven wouldn't accept members below 18 or 21. If you're in a coven of teenagers,
1. I envy that.
2. It's not self reputable compared to a coven of adults, so we can't assume that rules should be reputable if your coven isn't reputable.
3. Again, covens that want to be self reputable wont let you join and wont make an acception or change for you. They want to be self reputable.

I apologize for my ignorance. But let me get a few facts straight. I hate DND with all my heart for one. And two I study animation spells and self-defensive magick. Three, my family has been Pagan and Wiccan for generations. My MOTHER, when she was alive was initiated by my father, before he disappeared a few years ago, at age 17. My grandparents where initiated at a younger age. They aren't my guardians and I hardly ever see them, but they told me to get initiated last time I saw them. I'm just trying to keep my family's Wicca-Pagan history alive. I'm sorry for doing so.

Hahaha. Sorry, that was a laugh. I live in Catholicland out here in Roanoke. I'm all alone except for a single Catholic-Wiccan who goes to my school.

Jaeger, I doubt that your family has been doing Wicca for "ages" as Wicca only dates back to the 1950's; however, I will accept that they might have been some other sort of Pagan. Further, I doubt that either your mother or your father were initiated while they were teenagers. That sort of thing simply doesn't happen with reputable groups. And again, spellcraft is not a core practice of Wicca, so your pursuit of animation spells, etc. while certainly a form of magic has nothing to do with Wicca.

Perhaps you would care to discuss your Wiccan religious beliefs and practices, what you have read, etc. I'd be happy to offer some suggestions as to readings, etc.
