I usually move spiders outside but they usually just come back in. It is a bad year for spiders around here because they had so much to eat last year, they over produced. I keep getting bit and instinctively swat. It may just be the same for you. I said I was not going to use pesticides but as it is not my property the entire house is scheduled to be sprayed inside and out next month. The spiders in the barn are all being eaten by birds and the overgrowth on property is almost gone. So I imagine since the pond is dry and pest control is coming there will not be near as many soon. While nature is magical, I do not see anythinng supernatural about a spider surplus in your area. :-)

For most cleansings I either burn sage, do an energy sweep with a feather or take a bath with a touch of lemon and sea salt. It is rare I do actual drawn out rituals.

My daughter is afraid of spiders but not jumping spiders. Jumping spiders are very friendly and they rarely if ever bite. You would have to really scare them by trying to crush them to make them bite. Even if they do, they can't make you sick because the venom they produce is extremely tiny. To get over your fear of spiders, you could play with jumping spiders. Some people even keep them as pets! They're very "cute" as far as spiders go.

Another "harmless" spider is one that is not a spider at all, but quite common. They're called "harvestmen" they are not really spiders, they are omnivores that chew their food, with "fangs" that simply cannot pierce our skin. They have no venom at all. They're huge and frankly the first time I saw one, I freaked out! If you can get yourself to play with one of those, you won't fear spiders anymore. They're like overgrown "daddy longleg" spiders with a reddish brown very round body. They're all over the place in the woods behind my house. Great against the other bugs. They eat everything! And they're perfectly harmless to us.

I believe that when an animal or insect makes an impression in our lives, it's time to learn from them! They all have lessons we can learn from to help us grow and develop as individuals. And science has studied them so much, we can learn so much! But nothing beats observation and interaction. Maybe Spider wants to teach you something new. :)

Dont let your fears get the best of you, being brave is not the same as not having fear, it means acknowledging it and overcoming it, why you see this is feer, I remember that once when I watched a certain horror film, or any horror film for that matter when I whas. Somewhere around 8 I started seeing that what had freakt me aot everywhere when I whas in the dark alone, but I overcame it, the point is just chill and accept that and it will disappear, and its all in your mind by the way

If you find a spider in your house, and then move it outside, it will either come back in or die! It is a different spider from a hedge, or garden spider.Leave it alone! If you find one in your bath it has come down for a drink, do not flush it down the plug hole! Put something, a newspaper strip, a length of cloth, so that the spider can climb out.Or if possible lift it out, and put it the floor; it will very quickly disappear!

There are quite a few spiders that are actually dangerous though. I would suggest looking up the spiders in your area so you can better identify which ones are threatening. Here in Illinois, I have to watch for those that can cause severe injury or illness especially because of my kids. We also have the very well known wolf spider here. Although it isn't life threatening, if I see one, it dies immediately. But unless you live near woods, you'll probably never see one.
I believe the widespread fear of spiders is a natural instinct ingrained in our DNA that protects us. But knowledge can cause the generalized fear to be more specific and logical. Plus spiders are territorial! Let the good ones live and the ones you don't want around will be chased off. I've watched it happen!
So all spiders are not harmless and should not be waved off. Most really are. Knowing which ones will save you a lot of stress.
The most common ones I see are grass spiders and cellar spiders. The cellar spiders love my ant problem and kill hundreds. So I let them live. I've been biten very rarely and when I have, the bite itches mildly for a few hours, no bump, just irritated, and then it's gone. Mosquitoe bites are far worse. And since they eat mosquitoes, I think it's a good trade. Also I read somewhere that cellar spiders are very territorial and not even wolf spiders will dwell in the same area. They also attack centipedes. Yay for daddy long legs! They may look creepy but they are gems of the spider world.

You seemed to be troubled by the harm you caused the spider and are worried about spiritual reprecussions. Try performing a ritual where you express your regret and respect to the soul of the spider. It would go a long way to makign you feel better.

If you see spiders all the time there are two questions. Do other people see them. I actually doubt you're a schizo so skip to the next question.

Do you feel it's interfering with your ability to function. Youmight be arachnophobic and you really don't need to keep suffering.

Google systematic desensitization therapy and go see any mental health care professional. You'll be fear free in no time.

Remember that without the mundane, the magical becomes empy.

I hope this helps,

I too have been seeing many spiders. Normally I don't mind them, but seeing them next to you when your half asleep and then disappear can be nerve racking.
As mentioned, spiders have many meanings. From rebirth, to a future struggle or current entrapment.
As for the guilt, maybe say a blessing for the spider. And put future spiders outside if possible.
And if you feel the need to bless your home, I recommend white sage. Or for a clearing, I use cedar.
Best wishes

"When a man fyndeth a spyder upon his gowne it is a synge to be that daye right happye. "
"If a spinner creepe upon him, hee shall have gold raine downe from heaven. "
"*If you step on a spider, you’ll bring on rain.

*Superstitious people probably don’t kill spiders because it has been unlucky since a spider spun a web over baby Jesus to hide him from Herod.

*If a spider crawls into your pocket, you will always have money.

*If you walk into a spider web, you will meet a friend that day.

*If there is dew upon the spider web in the morning, it will be a beautiful day.

*If you wish to live and thrive, Let a spider run alive. "
