Well, powerme, you are not a child! So remember the old adage,
"Don't believe everything you hear.Don't believe everything you read. And only believe half of what you see!"

True brysing. Its more than likely propoganda but it did raise to mind the possibility of being a reservation school, governed by their own rules.

Nope, the story is true. Sometimes here in the US the truth is really stranger than fiction. The case was then taken up by the ACLU. https://www.aclu.org/religion-belief/aclu-oklahoma-files-federal-lawsuit-behalf-student-accused-hexing-teacher The case went to court and went up to the Federal level where it was dismissed because no constitutional rights were infringed upon. The student had initially claimed that her religious rights were violated, but then denied in court that she was Wiccan or wanted to be Wiccan. In her own testimony her spellcasting had no religious basis. So the two suspensions she had stood. http://www.freedomforum.org/templates/document.asp?documentID=16571

There have been other cases here in the US where students were suspended because of their Wiccan beliefs, and in every one of those cases the courts ruled in favor of the student.

Hehe, it's because I took a course on Paganism and the law during the Spring semester in 2013. We read up on a lot of these situations.
