I'm sorry for not being clear. I was asking if the oil had to be a special oil bought or could it be oil that u can buy at say a candy store or grocery store. They sale these little bottles of oil called drams. I know they have almond oil ect

you can also use ordinary vegetable oil when you anoint a candle. I learned this from a candle spell book I purchased many years ago which is very powerful simply keep in mind your desire as you dress the candle.

it can get expensive making your own oils, but whichever you want is fine. oils are a concentration of the herbs, so they have a lot of energy.

When buying from a grocery store you aren't buying oils, you are buying tinctures. Those will work, but make sure that you buy the natural products and not the artificial ones. Generally the box will indicate something like "pure vanilla" or "imitation vanilla".

Most oils found in the small dram bottles in other stores are simply perfume oils and while they may smell good they don't have the real oils in them that hold the magical properties. You'd do better to buy a few good oils from a shop such as the one here at SOM and leave the cheap stuff for when you simply want to smell pretty.

Ok thank you for me the least inexpensive is the best. Now vegetable oil come in like canola n something else does that matter what kind?
