Greetings, Aedah.

I use a, honey jar, from daily workings to substantial events.

For example, my sister and her husband fight constantly. He's not receiving the help he needs, for his ADHD and other mental disabilities, but my sister won't accept that fact.
A honey jar, eases the attention in the air. Allowing peace for weeks at a time.

I have one bastard of a neighbor, a father who won't ask for help, unpaid bills created by my deceased mother, etc.

Indeed. Unless you're creating a powerful ritual (graveyard dirt, coffin nails, etc), a jar spell can be used with any ingredient pertaining at the task.

It's your strong intent and willpower, that provides the results.

@Sheaza

When creating a honey jar, or sweet jar, it all comes down the intent. Your intent, determines what goes into your jar.

However, you're always going to need a glass jar and candles.

1. A glass jar - It can be of any size, with a screw on lid. I prefer the lid to be metal, as you'll be burning candles on it.

2. Sweetness - Sugar, honey, or molasses, depending on what you wish to achieve. Sugar for "sweetening" a deal or other event in your favor. Honey is for love and relationships. Molasses was originally used, as it represented a person of color ( no offense intended ).

3. Your target - You'll need an image of the person you wish to "target". Be at your boss or your lover. Writing personal information such as their full name and birthday, on the back. The more you write, the more power you'll create.

4. Stuffs - Whether dried rose buds for a lover, a piece of honeycomb for a job relations, or a rolled up dollar bill for money issues, your ingredients should reflect you purpose.
A quick look on the internet, or talking to a practitioner, will net you the knowledge for what you need.
Keep in mind, that you can place in as little or as much as you want. Personally, I tend to shove in a supermarket aisle ;D

5. Optional - Items related to your "target", can also be used. A piece of something they touched, body fluids from your lover, etc.

6. Candles - The candle should be the correct size to stand on your jar's lid, and it's color should match your intent. Extra care should also be taken, in making the area to be fireproof.

Now, then :

Before you start, make sure to wash your jar and lid thoroughly. In doing so, you're showing respect to your "target", and the spirits that will help you.
Now, fold the image of your "target" and place it inside the jar.
Then place any optional items from your "target". A piece of something they touched. If it's for your lover, something with their body fluids. Etc.
Then throw in the remaining, related ingredients. Then carefully pour in your chosen sweet -- sugar, honey, or molasses. You're filling the jar up to just below the neck.

Carefully screw on the cap, making sure nothing spills out. Then place the jar on a fireproof area, such as on a dish.
Take your chosen candle, and melt the bottom so it stands on the lid.

A few things I should point out :

1. How you light your candle is up to you. Traditionalists tend to use wooden matches, while I just use a barbecue lighter.

2. You'll need to decide when and how long you'll burn your candle each day. You're going to burn candles, until you believe the jar worked so this is important.
For me, I burn my candle every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for between 30mins to a hour.
Each candle must be burned down, with it's replacement set right on top of the last. The wax must flow down the sides of the lid and jar, which is why you need a fireproof space.

3. If and when you need to extinguish your candle, either pinch it with wet fingers or use a snuffer. Blowing out a candle, signals your intent of wanting to cancel your working.

Now, you should see results in about a week or two. Self doubts or second thoughts will undermine your workings, and your intent won't come to pass.

Good luck.
