Just out of curiosity maybe looking for ideas of my own but was curious as to what other people are doing for ostara since it will be my first wiccan holiday to celebrate id like some ideas?
Blessed be everyone.
Honestly, if you really want to look up Ostara traditions, why not just google some answers? I know that it sounds cliche, but it can be more direct than some of the answers here: and instead of getting someone else's traditions, you'll be able to pick through general lists of them to fit your own needs.
all my friends are rather busy, so the coven might not be getting together this time, i usually decorate the house, have a light meal, roast chicken but a lot of dairy. where i live it's usually too cold to plant anything, but normally one of us buys a plant, or some flowers, and we have a ceremony welcoming spring, then whoever bought it keeps the plant, or gives it away as a gift. you could also plant seeds and grow your own, but not everyone's on board with that i think.
i like about.com, they have good information and i like how it's presented, that's a basic what's Ostara, and some links to other Ostara topics you might find helpful. basically decorate your house in light colours, try to serve dairy products, and welcome in spring. that's all really.
Ostara will be a family day, we do some arts & crafts, have an egg hunt. Later I do my Ostrara ritual. I agree with the comment on Google it or read up on it. There's loads of information regarding the Sabats out there.
