FrostedPixie- I am reading about it right now. (I looked it up)

I do not believe that demons or an evil witch/etc was attacking me.. I did not feel any sense of fear or dread- though of course it can be a bit of an annoyance. And there was no sense of pressure on my chest. Thank you for your suggestion though. :)

sozerius, if you had read the entire web md. article you would have seen that not only does it define what sleep paralysis is, it also details the causes and what you can do to prevent this. I'm sorry the physicality of this is not so interesting to you, but it is most likely where relief from the situation will be found.

Actually I'm pretty sure that nobody bothered, they probably merely looked at the title. LOL.

Anyway I believe linda gave you the full answer.

Lindacash- I read the full article, into page 2.

It indicated that it is not severe and that one should not worry about it. It suggested seeing a doctor if it troubles your sleep or worries you. Did I miss what you are referring to?

LazyBoat- Reader's perogative :)

If it does not serve as interest to anyone here, I can still use what I wrote to save the details for myself, written out as they are.
I personally will read a long thread if it interests me, so I do not think it is impossible for someone to give something like this attention.

this is what i was refering to....sensible, practical things that might help this problem...cut and pasted directly from the web. md. site

How Is Sleep Paralysis Treated?

Most people need no treatment for sleep paralysis. Treating any underlying conditions such as narcolepsy may help if you are anxious or unable to sleep well. These treatments may include the following:
Improving sleep habits -- such as making sure you get six to eight hours of sleep each night
Using antidepressant medication if it is prescribed to help regulate sleep cycles
Treating any mental health problems that may contribute to sleep paralysis
Treating any other sleep disorders, such as narcolepsy or leg cramps

What Can I Do About Sleep Paralysis?

There's no need to fear nighttime demons or alien abductors. If you have occasional sleep paralysis, you can take steps at home to control this disorder. Start by making sure you get enough sleep. Do what you can to relieve stress in your life -- especially just before bedtime. Try new sleeping positions if you sleep on your back. And be sure to see your doctor if sleep paralysis routinely prevents you from getting a good night's sleep.

Lindacash- What I meant was that the other suggestions.. such as get enough sleep, reduce stress, etc.. did not apply to me. I get enough sleep and I have already reduced any stress that I am able to control in my life through my other practices. I am generally a very laid-back individual.

Also, I did not mean to give the impression that I am not interested in the physical 'side' of this. I am. However, I am also interested in the spiritual side of it, as understanding it may help me to understand other things regarding the spirit. I always endeavor to find the full picture- and science created through physical observation can't exactly diagnose the spirit, so I do need to go a bit beyond that if I want to include it.

Ultimately the point of this article was to provide and share my experience however, I do not feel plagued by this. It is not uncommon, But it isn't constant either. I do feel rested from my sleep, and these experiences tend to be quite short. This last occurance was unusual in that I experienced it multiple times in a row, and I felt it may prove to be of interest.

I might note that I experience sleep paralysis much more often when I am regularly meditating. When I do not meditate, there will usually be several weeks, sometimes months between occurances. When I do meditate regularly, I can have anywhere from 1-3 occurrences per week.
