And don't worry with the Grim Reaper, this formmof death has only existed for a few hundred years. I don't even think Death Personified is real, past egregores and metaphors.

I just can't comphrend the desire to create such an object and can barely fathom the trouble it could wreak if the right person obtained it, not that I believe that creating such a object is possible. I also agree that whether you believe in the three fold law, karma, or posses no form of similar belief that something bad is bound to befall someone even trying to create such an object of chaos as that is what it would lead to and it would be going against the natural cycle of life & death. Just consider the implications of a book that just by writing a name in it that corresponding person would die. In the end I doubt a god of death would allow a mortal to posses such power or capability.

I honestly don't care if you can create a death note or not. If I was a shinigami, or death god, whatever you want to call it, I would not let such a thing exist for humans. It may exist with the death gods, but I don't think it's going to work if a human creates it. If it does, that would be pretty amazing. But I think that a death note doesn't actually cause someone's death. It seems more than likely to cause a great deal of spiritual pain.

NimirRa, obviously the desire arises from wanting someone to die! And if you don't believe in karma, you just gotta make sure you don't get in a fight with a guy who has one.

Sav1orz, maybe I should have said I can't personally comphrehend creating one and dislike the idea of comprehending why any human being would want to create a death note. Tthe reasoning is obvious it just sounds at the very least a bit scary to think of someone killing people like the character in anime Death Note as creating one implies killing many not just say someone who's hurting you or someone else, not that the solution is killing them. As for karma I don't know if I'd put a term to my belief but I believe in the concept though I would expect one who wanted to use a death note doesn't as one could assume major bad karma would befall them. I guess the username SatanicDeath completely reveals the desire for a death note.

Dude why do you wish for a death note? I mean, its not our place to control who dies and who doesnt(except maybe Samael). I wont lie i do like chaos in all its glory, but he who tampers with Death may reach a similar fate.

Okay, let's take this easy.

Names of the target mentioned in curses is actually a very common thing and it serves a great personal and symbolic values to be used in the spells work. I'd say that if you want a curse or a hex which uses the name of the target as a symbolic value or a personal value, design your own spell which will specifically match this idea.

However you should keep in mind that simply writing the spell on a paper and having strong desires associated with death won't make anyone to drop dead since that's not how curses work. It's fantasy and actually the death note concepts comes from anime, basically meaning that it's not a serious magical use. I wouldn't rely on something which comes from anime which is basically meant to merely entertain people and show them unreal fantasies.

It's been discussed befoe "shall we rely on information given by anime or not?" (it's a fairly ridiculous question, I know).

Well, let's see.

~Definition of Anime~

Anime is a style of animation originating in Japan, characterized by colorful graphics and often featuring themes intended for an adult audience.he word is the Japanese abbreviated pronunciation of "animation." The intended meaning of the term sometimes varies depending on the context. This is hand-drawn and computer-animated anime exist. It is used in television series, films, video, video games, commercials, and internet-based releases, and represents most, if not all, genres of fiction.

~Magick~

Magick's most basic's is the science of Earth's hidden powers and for the true
practioner. There is nothing Supernatural about magick, Natural is the most
complex way to discribe it. There are so many ways to practice magick, There
are Schools, Methods, and Family traditions but the bottom line and defination
of what actually constitutes for real magick it is amazingly throughout the
world. According to general worldwide wisdom the most common to all magical
understandings and traditions is the inherit energies radiating Earth and all living things.
The true goal of magick is to tap into a different energy, It is an energy that is an
energy so powerful and bebevolent that all aspects of life approve. The manulipation and harmonizing if energies and forces is the basic of all Magick...

~conclusions~

Anime= not real. Done by computer, and presents science fiction and other none sense things that cannot be offered by any magic practices.

Magick= magick is another way of looking and understanding the True World. Has real practices that can actually work, basically by manipulation and energy influence.

As you can see there is a difference between the two terms. Also keep in mind that that's a very basic definition while different ones can be found depending on conceptual matter as well...
