Well I know very little of dragon magic, in fact I know nothing of it, however in my understanding most of what are considered guardian spirits don't need binding or connecting, they're already connected to you and are always there. To find them you simply need to open yourself up to them which comes fairly innately and even easier with practice so I wouldn't worry about it too much. If dragon magic is different then im sorry i cant be of any help but personally I would hesitate to call them guardians.

What you have created is a free willed servitor. Feel its energy. When you can feel it,reach out to it. Connect your energy with it. You already have a link you just need to find it.

'dragon from egg to end thing' is that the one where you create a dragon?

anyway, if i understand you right, you're looking for your guardian dragon and be able to bind it to a ring you can summon it with. doesn't work that way, but whatever. guardian dragons are normally young dragons that stay in your house making sure unwelcome guests [spirits, faeries, people] leave, or only stay for a little while. they can also help you with your spell casting, but for the most part, they're like owning a hyper puppy. you'll know your guardian dragon is there typically by sensing them, or having things randomly get knocked over.

there is a ceremony you can do to call to your guardian dragon if you haven't met him/her yet, takes about a month. they come when they feel like it actually, you could try calling to them, there's some chants you could use, but it takes times and patience. same goes for your guide dragon.

try sensing the dragon. depending on the type, say a fire dragon, the room will feel hotter. while walking along, you might feel something brush past you, or hear something.

try sitting quietly and try to sense anything. or, if you're doing that egg thing [not sure what you mean] you could place your hands over the egg, not touching it, and see if it feels warm, or if you can feel movement, or something like that.

binding a dragon to a ring... not sure how well that would go, but my guess is bad.

Lmao, love that description of a guardian dragon as a hyper puppy. Pretty much dead on!

lol, i've got this tiny blue dwarf dragon, won't hold still, never got a good luck at it, so i can't tell it's gender, almost certain it's a boy though. i think there's another one who hangs out on my book shelf, but i've got so many dragon statues i can't figure out if it's real or my imagination.

Cool. They are a wonder to have around. Mine keep me in stitches half the time. The other half they are bickering. (I think they are siblings)

no. with the blue one, he typically comes around when i'm meditating, or when i'm trying to read. the other one, i just sense something on my bookshelf, i have a whole shelf full of dragon statues though, so i can't be sure if it's something, or just me looking at my dragon stuff.

Don't doubt your senses. Dragons are excellent at camouflage. It may not be ready for you to really see it. But if you sense it most likely it is there.
