The Gods gave you free will and you can use it anyway you chose, try to have it in you a little longer then when you are older like 17 or 18 then you have to pick up all the courage you can to tell your parents if you want to that is,by hidding it it will just get heavier on your soul making it harder to hide or even think strait...Try to find some facts to use as backup to your theories in order to convince your parents that you are not evil nor a Satan worshiper, this might be one of the harder things in life and think positive, think what might happen if you do tell them sooner or later...Just remember that you are special the way you are...

it is a tough situation you're in, and you need to tell them. first, feel it out, wait for the best time to tell them. ask them to hear you out in full before responding. then explain to them in great detail what you believe, what the religion is about, and if you could find some books at the library or something, give that to them to read. be sure to keep calm, and research it, like a school project. if they say no, you have to respect their decision. that being said, you can study other things for the next 4 years until you're old enough to choose without their approval. herbalism, gardening, mythology, cooking, meditation can be done by every faith, look into history, genealogy, try crafts, and many other things. to be a witch doesn't mean you just cast spells, you need to learn about many things.

I just want to say this, 'God bless you!' I really mean it, and I don't mean it by saying Yahweh. I mean it in general.

Hi Moose,

I suggest not lying. If you are caught lying they will lose trust in you and if that trust is broken it will be even harder to explain it to them that your ideals are not satanistic(Unsure if I spelled that right.)

Sometimes people who tell their parents take time to open up to the idea. Other have to wait till they come of age to practice their own beliefs. Which may be good gives you time to think if it is worth it.

Some witchies, wiccans stay their craft in hidden even after teenage years. Only to share to close people they trust. It does not help with the propoganda that is spread throughout islam and chirstianity.

try to educate them!

If you just practice magick, but still have Christian views there are many sources that explain magick through a Christian perspective. Eliphas Levi was an Catholic priest and you can find free ebooks of his. Before you try to explain anything to your parents, I suggest reading Levi's works to get an idea as to how magick can be viewed through Christian eyes. You can also look up hermetic magick. This way, when you do tell them, you can do so with a good knowledge of how they can work together. If you can explain to them intelligently, they will have an easier time accepting it.

But some Christians are very strict and don't wish to listen and understand. Use your own judgement and decide if telling them is a good idea at all. You only have a few years before you can move out and be independent.

I had the same problem when I was 14 when I told my mom she didn't give me time to explain and immediately yelled about it so I stopped looking into it two years later I went back into it :) I'd say the best thing to do is keep your silence I know it sucks but that's the best thing right now and in two years or so you can tell them. This will give YOU some more time to understand yourself better and figure out what you think is the best way to go about this situation
hope this helps blessed be:)

I am in a similar problem im 15 and been practicing since 2011 but today im going to tell my mom being orthodox ( a form of Christianity isn't for me) the im going to research paganism, Buddhism, the Celtic religion and some others. I've been practicing for a few years and by the looks of your post (2012) you have to try and find away that works for you also there is no need to come out. its just something we fell we need to do like adding the wiccan rede to our BOS we don't have to but we fell we need to we have free will for a reason and my advice is that you find what you fell is right ill post on hear again and tell you how it went for me
