Lucifer and Satan are seperate entities. And there is evidence that Satan is really either

a) a title given to multiple people who were not a part of christianity

b) A persona of God (Yahweh) as the Christian God is everything, and made everything--- Including the negative.

Lucifer can be interpreted as such:

a) In the original bibles (I mean, THE original) the name Lucifer was not even stated. Instead, it was "Bringer of light" and refered to a king within the bible who was corrupt with power (Thus, a "Satan") That is why people generally think of the two as the same.

b) Lucifer is a fallen angel that descended from Heaven after he rebelled.

Another thing, is that somewhere in religious text, it is said that he fell to Second Heaven. Not Hell. Hell is where the impure will fall on Judgment Day. Hell does not have any sort of population yet.

People can make history as they go along but that doesn't make it truth. I believe there could very well be a being that calls himself Lucifer based off of the "Lucifer" personality that has been created in Christianity and Satanism.

Maybe it is the god Lucifer that people actually speak to and he doesn't have the heart to tell them they're mistaken. Many gods are depicted with wings, and one so bright as the morning star, I would assume may have quite a brilliant presence.

There could also be beings that merely want you to believe they are the angel Lucifer. I've had a few spirits give me quite impressive names as to who they are. It doesn't mean I believe them.

Or perhaps the angel Lucifer is merely a manifestation, a thought form, that has been created over many ages by the repetition of this tale.

When it comes to communication and working with spiritual beings, unless someone is extremely experienced and can see through lies and "bending" of truth, there is a multitude of explanations. I'm sure there are a few spirits out there that say they were Elvis, that doesn't mean that it is true. But names shouldn't matter. If a spirit works with you, you like them, and they are helpful, what their name is, isn't as important as who they are as a personality.

Some believe that Lucifer and Satan are the exact same being. Satan was in fact (in Judaism) an angel that presided over the court of god. He didn't fall, he wasn't against his god, he, like Samael, did the dirty work for their god. So when people believe they are one in the same, and just insist on calling this figure "Lucifer" then it is no different than giving someone a nickname. I can call you Buttercup, but you'll still be you. The name doesn't matter because we both know who I am referring to. (by the way, I wouldn't call you Buttercup, Haha! It's just an example.)

However the story itself of a fallen angel named Lucifer that felt he could do his god's job better and fell with a quarter of heaven, fought Michael, etc, is nothing but current fiction.

You could argue that all myth very well may be fiction, that someone, at some point in time made it up. But, I have to disagree. The reason I disagree is because I have studied many various religions and sacred texts. Each one has parallels regardless of where in the world they were written. Certain figures/beings, regardless of name, have similar stories, descriptions and personalities. And that in itself, to me, proves that the higher beings of myth are not fabricated out of an imaginative mind, but facts discovered and merely interpreted differently due to perspective of culture, society and time period. There is, after all, one spirit world.

Lucifer was originally a greek God of light, the name lucifer means light, or the morning star, of course the hebrews and christians named the devil after lucifer before he became a angel of darkness, both in christianity and in greek religions his name means the same, some believe since he was made out of the free light and the light kind of produced its own will it meant that lucifer was one of the angels with free will that's why he wanted to over throw the hebrew or christian god and his sin was pride and wanting to become God, lucifer in greek religions he was a good God and a giver of light, when the hebrews came the greeks kind of thought having a God associated with darkness in the hebrews mind was a bad idea so most greeks stopped worshiping him and stopped believing in him, in the greek religion angels were in fact in their religion they were messenger spirits the same as hebrew or christian angels they both did the same or simular things, the hebrews stole that idea as well, but whether you believe in christian wicca or Christianity or in other gods such as the greek Gods it doesn't matter they are both the same almost and yes lucifer is kind of the good side of satan or at least he's the angelic version of satan when he appears or masquerades as a angel. What I believe is both sides kind of, and I do many magicks including christian magick but not that often, and in wicca or any type of magick people say you can choose any God you want to serve. and in fact in some forms of wicca you invoke angels, demons, satan, the devil, or do a prayer to God or your guardian angel, some even go to celestials angels that are closer to humans, the name means sky angels or close angels. Anyways that's all for now, Yes I serve many gods and I am open to pretty much any belief, so lets just say a shoalin monk told me his beliefs I would say That's possible or I could do the same thing you do. Anyways believe any story you want either the greek religion or the what's said in the bible.
