i have been trying i dont exactly know how yet

there are several ways to talk to spirits, the two I know the most is talking out loud and telepathy type communication. When you talk out loud to it make sure you address it before asking your questions, such as I ask the voices I hear and then your question. telepathic type communication requires more work since most people have to meditate and sometimes be in a trance like state, If you can do what I just said then you focus your mind on the voices you are hearing and project a thought to them, you may have to use some energy with your thought to get their attention. Those are the ways I know and have experience with, but there are others.

I hear voices too. But I hear them as if they are talking to each other, like a distant conversation going on. I hear some that sound like chatter in an audience waiting for a movie or show. Sometimes they can get pretty loud, so I ask them to please be quite, especially if I'm sleeping. They visit every now and then. Some are passed family members, some way in the past strangers just happening to be here in my space. Those are the ones I ask to be quite. The family I can usually feel who they are. Just checking on me, I guess. Don't worry. And as far as tumors, you can have them without knowing. So if voices start to tell you to do things bad, get to a doctor. Otherwise, be authoritive and ask them not to bother you. Blessed Be...

Easy. Just connect to whatever is talking, and say a thought back to them. Like talk to it in your mind. Simple. I do it all the time.

Spirits were people, just like us. Actually, it depends on what 'spirit'. Some are entities from other worlds, or higher dimensional beings ("angels") or they could be lower dimensional beings ("demons"). Anyways, they all are beings, and all have a personality. So it depends.
