In terms of Japanese traditions, it might be worth exploring Shintoism, and the way that priests and monks interact with Kami. Buddhism also offers its influence, with the accompaniment of mudras, sudras, mantras, and similar such practices used to influence energy, along side prayers, offerings, and meditation.

In terms of black magic, I'm not sure you'll find anything. Much of such practices (or at least what I have found) involves seeking balance and harmony and compassion, as was already suggested. Revenge or other such negative qualities traditionally associated with black magic are achieved directly, and often in exchange for direct personal sacrifice. Taking revenge might very well mean that you invite some other calamity upon yourself in order to achieve it. You might work with negative Kami, such as Oni or other demons, but this is generally ill advised as well, as there is rarely any lasting personal gain.

most of the asian magical practices involves balancing and harmonizing the self (as what sir awake have said).. but philippine witchcraft is much different from the others.. philippine witchcraft is basically based on amulet/talismanic magick and with the help of elemental beings.. some witches here get their powers because elemental beings gave it to them.. some do healings because they claimed that they have gnome friends and they are just tools-->>meaning the gnomes are the ones who do the healings and such.. as for doing harmful magicks, some sinister witches here use insects to kill their victims.. they are called "mambabarangs." "mambabarangs" have much potent and sinister powers than ordinary witches here.. as for ordinary witches here, sometimes they do use doll magicks and do animal sacrifices to do harmful magicks.. we also have these so called "albularyos" who are the witch doctors.. they are the ones who can counteract the curses of the witches and mambabarangs.. there is a province here in the philippines who do claim to be a province of the witches and mambabarangs-->>siquijor..

as for talismanic magick, they do claim that the heart of a banana tree will produce an amulet that will fall at the right time.. just be aware because elemental beings will also fight to claim the amulet.. some amulets can be obtain in the foot of a newborn child who died upon birth.. some also do claim that a branch of a tree who is on the ground while other trees are like giving respect to it is also an amulet..

these are just some of the information about Philippine witchcraft.. some are myths but some are true.. hope this would be a viable information..

Having studied a little of Chinese martial arts including the Shaolin and Taoist traditions I first off must agree with the previous notation. Tao is a tradition of non action or pacifism. Yin if I remember correctly. Thence they do not favor aggressive actions such as combat or in the traditional sense of the word black magick. As for the learning aspect the martial arts are steeped with magickal history so perhaps that area would be a good starting place. Given the fact that ideas like diamond body and iron fist are concepts of Ki manipulation I would take that into consideration. The use of herbs and astrology are concepts of witchcraft from many acient cultures and not just asian apecific. I am not as familiar with Japanese traditions but I would think that since Shinto is one of the major religions over there that mabey you could start there as well.

Hello filipina witch here:) The phillipines "babaylan" also refered as Filipino religious leader, who functions as a healer , a shaman , a seer and a community "miracle-worker" (or a combination of any of those). Although the role and function of a babaylan is open to both sexes, most babaylan s from the pre-Hispanic era are female.
"The babaylan in Filipino indigenous tradition is a person who is gifted to heal the spirit and the body; a woman who serves the community through her role as a folk therapist, wisdom-keeper and philosopher; a woman who provides stability to the community’s social structure; a woman who can access the spirit realm and other states of consciousness and traffic easily in and out of these worlds; a woman who has vast knowledge of healing therapies".In addition to this, a babaylan is someone who "intercedes for the community and individuals" and is also someone who "serves".
I would like to add that Filipino Witchcraft is always associated w/ the use of nature to harm/heal an individual.Filipino witches could also control the weather through communication w/ nature."Kulam" or sort of a curse/hex done by a "mangkukulam"/black witch is considered powerful.This curses may affect the body,carrer,life or the mind of the individual cursed.

I to believe in the yin and yang aspect of life.but they maybe oposites yet they are always equal in depth.this is the same way as good and evil but what becomes evil may be oposite to good when the good turn to evil the evil turn to good.as with the case of my life i was evil the good atacked me which made them evil i found god and turned good.yin and yang is a very powerful spell.
