Your point was a good one but i was just wondering if your other half is gay does this mean your doomed to forever alone or you become gay too and you find a new lonely half also?

I apologize. I misunderstood you. But to answer your question if your soulmate turns out to be gay/lesbian then it's possible you will not have your soulmate for that life because the two of you don't get together. If both of you are homosexual then that's great. Or if one is gay and the other straight, the straight one could turn gay from falling in love or the gay person turns straight for the same reason of falling in love. There's no telling what could happen until it happens. You two could be on opposite sides of earth and meet or never meet. You could be sitting in front of the person for years in school not even knowing that he/she is your soulmate. But no matter what it's all about the. Choices you make that make the difference.

As a reply to your original post, disregarding whatever has been said since it:

In Norse practices, which is what I mainly follow, reincarnation is mentioned several times throughout the eddas, sagas, and various other literature in direct context.

A very prominent example of this: The Lay of Helgi(I and II), which are found in the Poetic Edda, mainly centers around this idea. ”Of Helgi and Svava, it is said that they were born again.” "”Helgi was the name of a king whose daughter was
Sigr´un. She became a valkyrie and rode the air and over the sea. She was Svava born again.”

Orlog is a giant component of Asatru practice, and a big part of Norse beliefs. It's too complex to fit into this reply, so I'll summarize it to say: It was believed that every person had inherited part of their soul from their parents and ancestors. It was thought to be important because it was believed that if you had done something bad, it would be passed down through your heritage. So, in a sense, this would be a type of reincarnation I think.

Uh Vanitys Fire your supposition is interesting as you do not include the 'possibility' that some are 'born that way'. As for a personal choice yes some do 'actually' choose to be that way. Tho why would you 'choose' to be maligned and ostracized. If a 'chemical imbalance' then there would some kind of 'cure' tho I don't think that most would take it, especially those that are 'born that way'. Not being able to be 'in' someone else's body how can you state for a 'fact' what someone else feels ?

Tanner, as for the gays why is it not possible for someone to be 'born' in another body that was ' not ' the original one ? Men can be born into a female body at some point and the same for women. Why not give each other the 'chance' to see how the other side actually lives ?

Like my sister. She's a lesbian and she says that she has always felt like she was a boy stuck in a girls body. She since she was a little girl never had crushes on the boys, but only the girls.

I think it's possible she's a male soul stuck in a female body.

Although souls themselves I wouldn't think are strictly male or only female through all of there reincarnations

Like myself I was told on two seperate occations that I was a woman in my past life.

Surprise, however, I'm all man inside and out.

Try getting into psychology and science. In terms of both, the science and the study of the mind has proven that people who are born so have an imballance in the chemical that causes a natural attraction to the opposite sex. So, yes, a chemical imballance does very well apply to those who are indeed born that way. And look around. There are many people who willingly make that decision of their own choice. Maybe all of then do not realize the consequences of being bashed on for doing so. Maybe they do. It's their choice unless they were born that way (again which has a scientific explanation of a chemical imballance as the cause)

And just so all of you know, the soul knows no gender. The physical body knows gender. Homosexuality, bisexuality, heterosexuality, the feeling of being trapped in the body of a male/female when you feel like you are the other, and the likes are all nothing but physical and a mental state of mind. Nothing more.

Vanity , i actually agree with part of what you believe but mine is somewhat diffarent in that i believe that the meaning of life for me is i will keep living a separate life till i finally live the one perfect life in which i get it right , ( in the eyes of whoever or whatever watches over our time on earth) then we get the altamate goal of going on the well a heaven like place ,as i do not really believe in heaven and hell as the way we live our life is that, when it all gose bad we are in hell and when it all gose right we are in heaven , as for finding your soul mate i am now 44 and i have had my life destroyed that all i have left is this site and no one who even cares i am alive , but we reap what we sew aint that the truth.but i am sure i will be back to try and get the next one right but boy am i tierd now .

I think reincarnation is optional, but I cant see why anyone would leave Heaven for Earth again. And Zeus? Im pretty dang sure that God made the two genders, but your opinion is yours, and I wont challenge it.
