The answer to your rhetorical question is that you aren't correct, actually. In fact I find myself saying this on a regular basis...
No matter how much you want to be or do something, magic will not as far as things have gone, go against the laws of nature.
One particular law of nature is that it is impossible for your DNA to literally mutate at such a rapid pace in such a way as becoming half fish or canine.
Magic will not distort your DNA, and it will not force your body to shift species.
Sure i can understand how you feel a connection to an animal.
Sure you can call it therianism and i have no beliefs to contradict that. All of that is completely understandable.
many people did misinterpret what you said, what got me was when you said this, which contradicted your whole original post.

It made it sound like the reality of the astral is transferable to physical reality. I do have a predisposition to think that because of the massive amount of fluff on this site and if this isn't what you meant then woops, sorry. It was easy to misinterpret.
It seems you call it misunderstanding if anyone calls you on it, which would be a vast number of misunderstandings apparently.
Perhaps you should try making your point more clearly instead of fussing and using excessive caps.
Werewolves, zombies, and vampires all have factual roots in history. There was a time in France during the Middle Ages when people would take hallucinogens and attack people like rabid wolves. There was also a time in the Middle Ages when a blood disease drove the inflicted to murder and drink the blood of their victims. This disease allowed the sun to horribly burn their skin and the treatment lied in healthy blood. In recent times their was an outbreak of Malaria in Cambodia that killed its victims, restarted their hearts, and drove them into a flesh eating frenzy. As for the Astral Planes, I have accidentally wandered into the lower levels once. The Astral Planes are very real and no one should take them lightly.
I agree with you Bernkastel. Cause in a sense can people give proof that gods and goddesses exist or have hardcore evidence that can prove they do? Also in some religions they worship gods and goddesses that are half human and half something else. so if proven that, lets say some of the Egyptian gods and goddesses are proven real then half human and half something else does exist technically.
If you read up on Gods/Goddesses you'll find, as already mentioned, that most are not thought to be physically literal or as the stories surrounding them suggest. Until you've done deity work- you wouldn't know this. It's completely irrelevant to this discussion.
you know i never said anything that has to do with physical means. all i basically said was is there proof that some god or goddess exist. and if they do wouldn't that also prove that if they are half animal that half animals exist too. cause as you said MOST are not thought to be physically literal or as the stories surrounding them suggest. which could mean some of the stories say that they are in this plain, world, or whatever and can be proven real. but really all people have are stories that so and so talked to god or goddess or whatever or encounter them. kind of like when people say they encounter a werewolf or vamp or something like that.
and p.s. i don't really care if it was relevant to the discussion or not, i just wanted to re-point out what Bernkastel said. cause none really ask that if werewolves, vamps and other mythical creatures only exist on the astral plane or don't exist at all, then doesn't that applied also to gods and goddesses?
