How has your communication with him been? I would keep trying to tell him that it is disturbing you. Also see if there is a reason he is bugging you at that time. Perhaps he is trying to tell you something. Blessings :)
i have tried telling to come back at a more suitable time, but as in life, he is also stubborn in death.

i think the message is to go to bed at a normal hour not 3 in the morning. but thats usual when i do my school work the best.
Personally, I would use Isa (a rune of Ice/flow block) drawn on my walls in energy when I studied (its not a protection, more like locking your door). You do not need to banish your grandpa. Could he is continually coming to you in order for you to listen to his message. Try quietening your mind and listening , go with any feelings you might feel ect. On occasions some spirit after passing are still somewhat clinging to the psychical and can't quite move on. This could be due to unfinished business or fear of crossing. If it is the latter and he is fearful help cross him over , reassure him that he needs to go into the light and his loved ones will be waiting to embrace and ensure his crossing is smooth.

Your grandpa love you a lot, and it seems you love him the same. Its really hard when a love one depart, espeacily for us the ones left behind. As living things we each have a special energy that we make, when the passing comes all the energy will evaporate into space and time. Form what you explain it could be that alot of left over energy from your grandpa is still trap within you making his departure incomplete. The energy can be trap with guilt, love, anger, and being too stubborn, either from you or from him. You said that you have try maything that does not wrok, so you could try cleansing yourself. Meditate and say your good bies with you grandfather, and tell you self that nomatter where we are we are always together and onday we will meet agian.
