thank you all so much for your answers :3 I'm pretty sure that it/he is lonely, because he tries to get my attention by turning off my laptop, turning the TV on, and I'm definitely sure that it's a friendly ghost. I only wish that I could see or speak to him. But he can only answer my yes/no questions by spinning the toy ring. I dont wish to call anyone or cast any protection spells, seeing as it is friendly and in my opinion, it's rude to get rid of a lonely ghost. Ghosts used to be people too (unless it's an animals ghost) and I think they deserve the same respect! He only seems to hang around me, he always goes away or stays still when someone else around. Even Ben too! I've grown attached to him, and I'm wondering of he's grown attached to me :P Maybe I'll ask him that tonight when everyones asleep ^_^

oh and another teensy question.
Why has this ghost chosen my house for it's new home? I'm 95% sure that he was never here before, and this house has no history record of deaths or hauntings? it wasn't even built that long ago, like maybe 6-12 years ago?
This house isn't special for any reason :/

Something there is attracting the ghost. Maybe left over psychic energy? It has got to be some type of energy though if what you say is true. Ghosts just don't appear out of nowhere no pun intended.

Don't you love it when they make it so easy to talk to them? I miss that, I don't get special treatment anymore. Most catch on quickly that I know they're there. =p

Sounds like you have a spirit that enjoys communicating. Since he isn't upset or malicious and it's no one you know, it's probably just a spirit that recently died who has insecurities about his death. Fear of death doesn't always end at death. Fear of death is holding onto your physical life with a tight grip. When death forces people to release that grip (whether they like it or not) they usually feel comforted by befriending or contacting physical people such as yourself. Sometimes the person reminds them of someone they cared for and trusted. They usually do this until they finally come to terms with the fact that their life is gone and then they no longer need the physical connection as a security blanket.

Well not psychic per se. Just energy that leaves an imprint. Maybe it is transfered energy? Ghosts haunt places that they feel a connection to as well. Truth be told hauntings like the one you describe are rare. Usually the place has energy that draws spirits to it or something bad happened their. It just sounds like this spirit said to himself "hey I could haunt that place for awhile" after he died. And that almost never happens. Something is drawing your spirit to you. And since everything is energy, even emotions, energy must be drawing him to you.
