perhaps only on the astral plain, i'm just myself in the AP [never seen my reflection though, but i don't feel different] so you might be able to change there, but physically, no, just like you cannot be hurt in the astral plain and the injury show up physically on your body.

The answer to any sort of question like this is no. Not even on the astral plane. Astral projecting does not transport you to some fantasy world.

go into a meditative state, and once you feel relax, like about to fall asleep state of relaxation, but don't fall asleep. visualize a rope and pull youself out of your body, or you could think about floating/fall and you will. from there, since i'm guess it's never happened before, try floating arouns your room, turn and face yourself, little stuff like that to get use to the sensation, then myself, i think of the AP and i'm there. i've only done it a couple of times so you might want to ask an expert. it's different for everyone.
