Wiccan was the technical termed used to be the male equivalent of the female witch. now it is a religion, and so i would not call my self a wiccan just because i am a male witch. i still have to figure this one out, because i see witches as being females.

I actually think the term "warlock" is used for shock value, and used for marketing, in things; such as, books and movies, and things like that. As for what an established religion is; a "religion" would need to have an established doctrine. For instance, when in America, a church is a church because it has a doctrine: a book to study form. I have never come across an established Pagan "church," in America. I have heard of monumental, yet whispered covens, across the United States, but not an "established church of a Pagan origin, or Pagan for that matter. I have heard of The Church of Satan, being funded with tax payer's money, but nothing else besides all other religions, but except Pagan. Is there an established Wiccan or Witches doctrine? It is interesting how there are so many christian churches, yet they seem segregated in this sense, and that there is no established Withes churches, but there are covens (it almost seems as if "witches" seem so organized that they don't need governmental funding for their establishment and practices). I think that is cool. As far as government funding goes, an established and recognized church needs to be nonprofit (or there is a nonprofit aspect to an entity, when being funded by the or a government). There is a lot of paperwork involved. Not only does an established church have a nonprofit part to them, they can and do have a profit organization or entity to them, so that they can make money, but this aspect is in no way funded or recognized by government. A profit entity will be their own business and handle their own business, but they do what they want with their profit, from their business. Interesting, very. If there was an established Witches doctrine, then this would settle the whole deal on what is what, when asking specific things; such as, what is the name for a male witch, or even the word "witch" , when being used in such a whispered faith/path. The truth is that "witchcraft" is there and evident, but there are really no ways on how to live, but there are certainly information on how to manipulate and connect with the universe, so to speak. There are holidays, there are Esbats, but I think most of those holidays and celebrations tell a longer story than what new-age religions have to show. I have never come across a book that talks about character or how to be, except for The Satanic Bible, and the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible actually states and has classifications for what types of Paganism, with all due respect. Intuitively speaking, this then states that Paganism must have a long and extensive history. In the book of Enoch, Enoch talks about the how these Sons of God, came to earth and did all these amazing things, but my point is that they taught man today what Pagans do. In my opinion, Paganism is all about being one with one's environment and knowing how to dwell in one's environment (which can be also about manipulation of one's environment, which is what all forms and kinds of Pagans are good at Not only manipulation, but also interpretation to). The term Wicca, I have read somewhere, means to dwell in the country, which makes sense, when the "Sons of God" taught mankind how to make and do things, that are very Pagan, in nature. To dwell, to do, to overcome, to be. Wicca; very interesting. Even in the word, Wicca, or Wiccan, there is no set or accurate name, or established definition for any of those words/names. Where I am from, all the beliefs and practices are passed down orally, but there are no mentioned beliefs on character, or how one should be (it is just all about being, I guess).

Genesis 6

1And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

5And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

That's not quite correct. In Anglo-Saxon "Wicca" referred to the practice of sorcery and magic. And in Old English "Wicca" was a male Witch and "Wicce" a female Witch while the term Wiccan referred to Witches of either gender.

In modern parlance of course the word "Wicca" refers to the religion that traces back to Gerald Gardner and the New Forest Coven. Those who practice Wicca are also Witches whether they be male or female.

I have recently adopted the term "mystic", because it covers all sides. It seems to be a "low impact" term also, lol

Every and each human being is able to cast a sensible spell. You, me or any other person, as long as they know how to concentrate, believe, balance their energy and etc can cast spells.

All of the spells located here are not possible to cast. Many of the spells are added by people who know nothing of the occult. So if you see a spell about levitating a tea cup and someone claiming to successfully perform it is not a witch but an ignorant fluff.

First, you need to know what a spell is and how it works. Magick as the simplest definition is the manipulation of energy. Pure energy and it's not physical energy. Means you can't do something physical with spiritual energy. You can't levitate, shape shift or anything a Movie would show. That's why the terms witch and other similar ones are mostly avoided, as people can't really understand what they really mean.
