Well.. not with that attitude!

A problem many face when meditating is overthinking the process. Some people focus too hard on trying to meditate that they end up not meditating at all. It's not as though you have to sit in a dark room in meditate for hours either. You can take a walk and meditate. Most anything can be meditative. The key is to relax. I technique i like to use is following my breathing. I take deep, slow breaths. Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. Eventually thoughts drift away and i enter a meditative state.

Sativa has got it right about meditation. As for demons, I have been a practising witch for many years (about 70!) and I have never come across a demon. Never seen one. Never contacted one, or had one contact me. Never summoned one.
In fact, I believe demons to be a facet of human imagination. If you believe they exist, then they exist. If you don't, then they don't.

People use the word "demon" too much. A spirit is a spirit, whatever label you may use. A spirit is energy with a mind, their forms can change as they will it.

But I am finding it harder and harder to believe that what you're explaining is true. You're contradicting yourself, because a friend won't try to kill you. And if this spirit has attempted to harm you or anyone else, than I wouldn't see why you would be so willing to let the energy of it come through you. And if you are feeling pain, that's more reason to stop.

And as for "naming" him. If he is such a good "friend" why hasn't he given you his real name? If he hasn't that means he doesn't trust you, yet you trust him enough to give him control of your body?

There are a variety of spirits by different energies and persuasions, none are all one way or another but demons are real and most are almost entirely selfish. I've dealt with a number of them in my name and this sort of bond is not for your gain and I doubt it was even your idea, though I believe you thought it was. If this is in fact a demon then it has planted this idea in some way so you can sustain it. It doesn't want you as a host to possess you and it certainly doesn't need you to communicate with others. Demons generally work to the goal of turning yourself against yourself in a number of ways so your energy will become more negative, allowing it to take more and more. Take back it's welcome, perform a banishing and set up some protection before it has you under it's thumb anymore, you'll gain nothing in this exchange, trust me.

Merry Meet,

Just like you torched love, I also had a demon inside of my body. I had literally since kindergarten (5 years old)! I didn't know much of it at the time, and when I got older I began naming and thinking of how this demon looked like, I pictured him like me only with black hair and black eyes and pale skin. I named him Daemon (since it sounds like Demon :P). But by the time of age 16 I somehow got my first girlfriend, whom had dealt with demons before and helped me finally self-excorsize the demon out of my body. I was no longer possessed, the bottled up emotions that I thought were dead had flooded over me the next day, I was revived! So happy for once in 11 years of my life I could smile happily with God's love beaming down to me. And i've only continued my happiness to this day, a year later.

Basically, just get the damned thing out of you.

Blessed Be.

Demons commonly target psychics, especially at young ages. Personal demons(opposite of a guide or guardian) will especially do this to children to hold them back emotionaly and on their spiritual path.

Whiteraven- well I consider him my friend although I already know it is most likely not the case. I keep him around only to have someone here to talk to because I am much a loner person. As for naming him, none of the demons that I encounter give me a name or they just give me a name I know isn't theirs.

Sol12- Yes I know that, and I've told him countless times but not like a demon would listen to anyone right?

Sorage55- well I didn't know at the time either but I had 3 of them with me when I was little too. I guess what should have been a sign of that was my sudden change of mood and personality one day, I still remember it. But I don't get rid of him for 2 reasons. 1- He's someone to have around and to talk to so might as well. 2- I've gotten used to feeling the way I am and I'm fine with it even if that is the thought that was planted into my head.
