One thing to also consider is the nature of the debates, in that they involve our spiritual beliefs. What makes this harder and can come with a more personal sting is that in spirituality we learn through experience and hard trial. When the beliefs we develop through this are challenged it may sometime seem as though our experiences are as well, or sometimes even our sanity. And while this is very well justified for some, many practitioners delve so often and so deep into the weird that these are concerns that may pop up on their own, depending on the person and all that. I think everyone can use a step back at times and assess each statement, and more importantly, form a response with a rational and friendly approach.

Again, I will suggest that much of the time belief is based just on that... belief. Logic and reason are not applied to it.

This rapidly turns into intense frustration on both sides of the discussion as one side prefers to cling to faith and belief without logically understanding what is happening (and as is often the case thus giving in to imagination, delusion, and false understanding of the actual causes for various circumstances) and another just seems cynical, and as though they don't believe in anything as they'd prefer to pick it apart and understand how it works (and thus seem like arrogant jerks, who think themselves better, or often through actual arrogance or confusion over the vocabulary being used).

Phew, that was a run-on statement.

For my part, I really try to be patient and understanding. But I cannot stand it when somebody stubbornly refuses to understand the logical events that cause things to occur and then insist that it is magic.

Blind faith is like intentionally making yourself stupid. People cling stubbornly to an idea because they don't want to step away from the comfortable thoughts that make the world seem better. They want to believe that they really can be like their favorite character in stories. They want to believe that anything is possible, and that this makes the world happier, more gentle, and a better place to be.

But I wouldn't want to live blind, intentionally ignoring the wisdom that can be gained in exploring those things that make you realize uncomfortable truths.

And neither should you.

Those uncomfortable truths lead to deeper, more meaningful understanding of the world. They lead to harmony with everything, interaction with true spirits, gods, demons, angels, the energy of the cosmos, and all manner of other things that lead you to touching, and being one with, the divine.

I don't want you to miss out on that. I want you to step out your comfort zone to learn deeper truths. I want you to stop giving in to fantasy for the sake of imagined peace and find true harmony.

This is why I argue, debate, and try to make people think. It has angered and annoyed many of you already on this post. And yes, sometimes the refusal of others to learn, understand, or even try leaves me angry, mean, and cold. Oh well. I'm not perfect. Just like you.

If this makes me a bully, so be it.

From what i just read, ur not a bully. Just simply trying to get someone into realility. And when i made this post i didnt want anyone to think badly of it, nor start anything from making it. I've seen a lot of bulling here on the site and i didnt know what else to do but make it aware that it is going on. Being bullied is a horribble feeling. It leaves you depressed, empty and alone. And everyone knows that even "cyber bullying" can hurt someone. Some people have even killed themselves because of it.. :'(. Anyways. I never ment this post to do any harm, or cause a big fuss.. Im sorry.

I agree from all of you... Bullying is bad.
What makes me mad is.. They're bullying people who are weak or weaker than themselves.

I believe in this:

"The strong should protect the weak.."

You didn't offend, Meikoi. I was just trying to explain the difference between some of the harsher conversations that occur on this site and bullying. Sometimes people need "tough love." So long as it doesn't degenerate into just picking on someone, anyway.

I've recently been on a seminar about Bullying. And these are what I learn.

First, a bully is a person who inflicts pain on others. Because of many reasonable or not reasonable reasons. A bully is not naturally born to the world. It is created. The most common reason is that a bully is a bully because that person is bullied by their own family at home. They feel little about themselves and so they try to cover it up through acting so tough.

They are most like to be define as:
B - Big
U - Ugly
L - Loner
L - Loser
Y - Yearning for attention

They are always a loser because they can never be satisfied with their actions.

Everyone has always been very respectful to me on this sight. I've seen some hardheadedness and some picking on but you always need to carry yourself in a way that gives and gets respect. I mean if you come in sideways your going to get sideways, if you catch my drift..... Blessings to all...

i get your point Meikoi, but a few things i disagree with, primarily, bullying today. i know when i was a kid there wasn't cyberbullying, but i had it really tough, and i was told to suck it up. i defended kids when they were being picked on, but a dissagreement is not the same a bullying.

also, the medium is the message. by which i mean, this is a typed reply, you aren't in my head and you cannot hear my tone. the previous statment about bullying i made was done to explain and not insult, though to you it might have come across confrentational and angry. i understand, i have seen/read what you mean by agressive language. i've had a few times people who have dissagreed with a forum post of mine, and even though i ignore them on the forum to avoid a confrentation, will them mail me like crazy. i've never brought it up to a moderator because i just hit delete, or i avoid the forum post. in that sense it is different from bullying. if they had your facebook and number and real email address, i can see how it could fall under cyberbullying. yet from my few run ins with the subject, it's like a fly that keeps buzzing around you, just ignore it.
