I do recall it now, I apologize for the theft Illy.

Well, see that in and of itself could be used for fluff control...because you would put in your book only the spells you wanted, so if you saw fluff, you ignore (/report?)fluff.

I'm talking about fluff for new members, I am confident in my ability to be patient enough to search for what I need, I am just worried about new members who would find these spells and believe that they are accurate. And as for writing out spells being harder, then memorize them. No one said practice is supposed to be easy ;)

Most will agree it is better to memorize it than it is to read it straight from the screen or paper. <.<

Well, along the same lines, I know that even if I was a new member, I would test out a "spell" and if it didn't work after the first few times, and it promised awestriking results, then I would decide not to do it. Then I might get on the Chatter, or in the forums and say, "I don't get it...", then the experienced could enlighten me!

And of course it's always better to memorized than to read, but still, every once in a while, you might need a..."memoryjog;" shall we say! lol

I can understand what you mean, but with the favorite optuion already up I would think the time and effort that would be put into making such a feature could be better spent on something else. Mind you, I'm not saying it is a bad idea persay only that there are things that can be done to help out newer people, and those of us who have been here long enough should be able to find the spells we are looking for without to much trouble, I seem to remember patience is very important when studying, so why can we not apply said patience to writing down the spells of our own accord? And again, in the chatter not always proper knowledge is taugh., The past 2 (or three my days blend together) nights I have witnessed new people fall pray to fluffs who falsely claim their knowledge. Despite the efforts of many, we were unable to teach them the right knowledge because of the way media has twisted magick, and the fluffs doing the teaching used this hollywood twist to pray upon the newbies fantasy.

Sort of ruins the mindset if you have to constanly look down at a paper. <.<

Lol. Remember to site where you got the spell from. There can be issues of copy rights to everything especially if you did not write it. Even if you're writing on actual paper remember to cite it :)

The idea that originally suggested was meant as a way for members to have their own individual spell book on SoM, as a way to contribute spells and keep them organized for virtual safe keeping. Also allowing member spell books to have the option to be public or private.

The instance of copyright violations and plagarisng is at each members own risk, there are several hundred spells that I have seen either copied from tv, movies, books, and other sites. Regardless there will be people who will do what they want without regards to rules or what's right or wrong. essentially it's a good idea without involving fluff aspects.

Another thing to mention, I stated the idea, not only as a sorting option but as a way of having a virtual spellbook, that is stored online as a place to keep it if you eveer lose your hard copy, or your not allowed to keep one if you live with religious parents or lwhatever the case may be. I understand both sides esoecially working on things that will better help new members, but like I said before it doesn't have to be done straight away, but it's a good feature nonetheless to have.
