And I'll ask forgiveness for likely regurgitating everything that everyone else just said.

LOL now a flying carpet would be awesome. However it's not a probability. And no a lot of things were lost through out history without a doubt due to looters, and great libraries, and temples being destroyed. And I agree with the stroke example. But some tend to "heal" themselves which the brain does to a certain extent. Depending on the amount of the trauma. but all is forgiven :P

Neuroscience is such a new field in terms of others such as physics, astronomy, etc, due to technological advances that it's really hard to say what is "fact". Every 10 years if not less, there is a new "break through" that discovers more and more. Some even disclaiming past belief. If the brain was 100% understood, there wouldn't still be research done everyday, and brain problems would be a thing of the past.

Yes, only 10% is used at one time. Some say if we used anymore we would die, and that's only because certain disease stimulates more, but that is an unnatural problem, not a naturally made occurrence. Up to 90% is used in all depending on what we are doing, but never all at once. But very few people even use the full potential of their brain. We do not know the full potential of our brains and that is what I am referring to.

Trance lights up certain parts of the brain that are not usually lit up, and science hasn't really explored why, or at least if they have, it hasn't been made public. I was using the 10% thing as an example.

It's really not that new of a field in all honesty. Man has pondered how and why it works the way it does for centuries. Only difference is now we have the technology to really explore it. And I highly doubt you die if you use it all. I think that's rubbish.

I honestly feel that looking at the brain and believing that if we can light up the whole thing like a christmas tree in a catscan we'd unlock more of our potential is a bit of a stretch.

Every bit on this whole "10% of our brain" myth I've read about involving neuroscience as debunked it. The simple fact is that there is almost never a reason for every part of the brain to be active at once. It would require that every neurological function was active at once. This is a rather rare occurrence.

I would hazard the guess that trance may light up various portions of the brain typically not observed because it is rare for anyone's brain to be studied while they are partaking in similar states of "blank" focus.

Define "blank" moments. Because if you're referring to spacey moments. Some would be more opt to study than others lol

I've only one thing to say we should all just admit that there's noo way we'll learn the whole truth and histroy of the physical, spiritual, etcwithin our current physical lifetimes and we all know it.

And on another note stoney I understand you mayhavemore knowledge than me and by the same extent Thunor, but from what I've seen of your interaction with him you stilllack in wisdom and self-control. And he never said anything about believeing the lost info could defy the laws of science he just wanted to know if believed or even had knowledge about it or a possible text containig lost/ancient ways or practices. One last thing from what I can tell from what I've seen of him he has the belief that the laws of the physical can't be broken, but like any true scholar still has a little skepticism that within a reasonable doubt that this idea is 100% correct.

one thing you got to keep in mind, there is no such thing as absolute truths only your own truths. We can get a really good guess but actually know everything no because that's almost humanly impossible.

Projecting only teaches you what you're able to comprehend. There are reasons Darkest that people go mad and why we have filters in our subconsciousness that protect us. >.>
