As I mentioned previously, the wand already is a condenser in that it focuses the magician's will to cast the spell. The wand intensifies the spell. And, the condenser core amplifies the focus for a more intensified spell. Think of it this way; a magnifying glass focused on a piece of paper out in the direct sun will start a flame on the paper. This is the wand and your will. Now imagine laser technology directed on a piece of paper and of course the paper will burst into flames. This is a wand with a condenser in it. It is a wand on steroids. Ha! Never knew that did you? Blessed Be a paradise for you on earth!

The core of a wand is a filling down the middle of the wand to help aid in the projection of your energy. Copper is a very good filling for it is a metal which helps magnify energy just as a crystal would.

I am a staff person but I have created wands before. The aspects into creating a staff are nearly identical to that of a wand.

In my work I dont typicly use any sort of core in such tools. I prefer to have any sort of addition to be exterior because it proves as a good focal point.

Also in my spare time I fletch bows. And just like bows I have found that wood types good for bows are also good for wands. Hard woods can retain their shape and help project energy into the arrow. The same with magickal energies.

I recommend using hard woods like osage, ash and if you have the money, Zebrawood ( Zebrawood is a very expensive wood that is exported from Africa. It is probably the best wood for making bows but it is extremely expensive. Like 1800$ a foot! )

Blessed be

Hello;
The wand focuses/concentrates the will of the magician. The declaration(spell, encantation), PROJECTS the energy/will.

The wand is already a condenser. It already focuses the will of the magician. It is OK without another condenser. With another condenser (the wand, cored out, hollowed out in the middle), it performs better. For example, the difference between a V-6 and a V-8 engine.

For example;
1)State the name of the Wand
2) Tap twice, like an Orchestra Conductor to get the attention of the group to focus and begin.
3)Say something to your wand to get ready and also to inspire and charge up yourself(focus/concentration. This is the part where you imagine your joy from the success of your spell with much emotional energy) before you begin your spell/encantation like; Excalibur; (focus/concentrate) Perform my will!
4) Wave your wand around to charge your wand and yourself (in any specific pattern or willy nilly, there are many methods here). Remember "Switch and Flick in the first lesson of the first movie of Harry Potter? This first motion is the "Switch" part. Keep your focus and concentration. Have you ever been excited about something and let someone else in on your joy? This is exactly how you need to feel when your state your spell. There are many good emotions to have and project to your wand for your spell. But, do not, warning, do not, use a negative emotion to project your wand unless for sure the victim focused on is an absolute a-hole and has done something harmful thing to you for no fault of your own. You can avenge yourself but be careful, if you are not righteous in your action, Karma will come at you with a vengeance and bite your butt three-fold. And also remember, an eye for an eye, not a life for an eye. Vengeance must be exacted the same equal justice, not more. You do that and you are in for a world of hurt.
5)State your spell or encantation.
6)State your propellant energy like in a warrior shout with much energy (this shout can be in your mind or stated in a low voice but still with much emotional energy, for example; So mote this be!, Bring it on!, Carry on!, Make it so! Take off! Do your job! Farewell! Move out! Presto meus votum! You can make up your own phrase in Latin by using an English/Latin translater that you google online. I have seen two good ones that pop up all the times that I needed one.
7) Flick your wand as the wand's signal for the spell to "takeoff" as "the start of your spells endeavor to succeed"
8) Be silent. Cool your jets. forget about it. Ground your excess energies/emotions, by a short relaxation. Do something else and hope for the best.
That's it! Blessed be, a paradise for you on earth!

Can a wand be made of bone and can the core be blood?

Also, by core, they mean a substance inside a hollow part in the handle or somewhere. The substance would be a significant substance such as hair or blood or some sort of special herb.

This thread is four years old and the original poster is no longer here. Is it necessary to resurrect such an ancient thread?
