How do you tie something with matches? Even the ones in books would be difficult not to rip when trying to tie.

The first post seems to indicate a knife and fork, together with matches, wrapped in a piece of cloth. The word actually written is warp.Very curious! The only idea that I can think of is perhaps this is the sort thing a tramp might carry with him. (Hobo)

Some people put it in front of their front doors to stop the hail. Didn't work.

Well, you have silverware, a napkin, and a way to start cooking a meal, all wrapped up in one.

If this is what I think it is the fork and knife are dirty and the matches symbolize sulfur. It would be wrapped in a cloth to keep them together. This is an old curse that is done on the person who ate with the utensils to not gain sustenance from their food.

Thanks, kts. Now Raoul do you want to tell us where you found this. Let us know if you've touched it. You may need to cleanse and protect yourself, along with the person this curse was meant for
