Ok, I will try this again as my first Post was removed. I consider Satanism the terrible twos of the Occult world. Every Satanist I have met is young, and somewhat rebellious, and attracted to Satanism for its shock value, usually they grow out of it. It reminds me of Ayn Rand, it all sounds great when your a kid, until you grow up and realize it is just hogwash. I know about Anton and his Satanic church. It was considered a big joke out West, Anton himself was laughing all the way to the bank, and meeting women along the way, he could not believe that people were taking him seriously. Anton had a great sense of humor, was being offered movie rolls, meeting all kinds of starlets, making money, and getting his digs in to the Christians all at the same time. I know people who knew him then, his favorite remark was "Only in America ". Ya know, I think I understand him, and can even admire him. He took his fifteen minutes of fame and stretched it out to a half hour or so, good for him, but at no time did he ever take any of this so called Religion seriously, unlike some of the"Experts"on this site. So... go start your church in the UK, everybody needs a laugh now and then, just remember your roots don't come from philosophy, they come from Comedy.

Looks like we have another opinionated comment here, ive read the satanic bible and found it very informative, and if more people took the philosophy on board we wouldn't have comments like yours Rike.

As the Satanist would use, why concern yourself with something that ultimately doesn't concern you. So no matter if they believed in a concept or not, they would keep their opinions to their selfs, more so as this is a advertising thread not one for debate.

Well done darkermaster

Well well, the same people who want their beliefs to be tolerated and respected as usual belittling the beliefs of others.

There's a very simple solution to all of this. Don't like the idea? Don't go to the site. Sounds easy enough, yet seems to be difficult for many in this thread.

To be more specific, Brysing, you seem to think anything that doesn't follow into your line of thinking to be rubbish never once considering the idea of progress and growth within the magickal community. If they didn't learn it the way you do, they didn't learn. You speak against Christian ideas based on your years in the catholic church, yet you somewhere along the line didn't learn that Lucifer is not Satan, has never been Satan, was never mentioned directly as Satan or anything of the sort. The Satanism being taught within the church mentioned in this thread has nothing to do with Christianity, does allow room for magick and has a fairly large following.

Rilke..I've seen threads where you jump up and down telling people what clubs you belong to, what rights you've help to protect, who you have met, who you have studied with, ect. Yet any time a thread comes up with something you disagree with, your so called passion to help the magick community and protect their rights goes flying out the door. Who cares if Anton laughed his way through life? Good for him, we should all be so lucky. What his financial records look like are of no consequence to this thread. To dismiss a way of thinking just because you find it hard to understand shows that instead of being a protector of rights, you are in fact an elitist.

No one has to approve of the lessons being taught here. I can understand why so many have an issue with is as it lack spirituality and even in the magickal community, that is terrifying to many people. But get over it. No one asked you to go to the site, sign up and sell your soul on the way there.

Take some personal responsibility. Don't like it, don't go to it. If you chose to let your fingers go wild making claims and comments, re-check all the things you have said in these forums on what you do and do not tolerate and delete your posts for blatant hypocrisy.

As for the original point of this thread, I wish you all well!

If you will please note rilke, both She_Ra (darkermaster's wife) and darkermaster are over 30. So the idea of youths being the only ones interested in his new church is foolish and flawed.

I would also like to add that Wicca and other pagan religions are used by teenagers with the idea of being rebellious and going against their parents. >.O

lOl, lets all get wound up!!! First of all other then in my profile I don't recall ever mentioning my training, or past accomplishments, I do however urge that others get trained whenever possible. Now regarding this church and Satanism, since we are all defending the right to do whatever you want, how about my right to call this whole Satanism thing a complete and utter sham, started by a trickster and a con artist, who admitted that he was doing it for a lark. You people can go believe in whatever you want, and I in turn will disbelieve in whatever I want, and I also have the right to call a so called religion bunk, when the evidence in my eyes suggests it is bunk... Like I said, go start your silly little church, good luck, have fun, maybe you can con some Scientologists to join you.

So, I have the right to call Wicca bunk because Gardner stole bits and pieces from other religions, thus making him a thief?

Re: UK Church of Satan

You most certainly do have that right.

Then let's speak of Wicca and how Gardner stole not only the idea for it from a few different people, but bought the rights to Crowleys works, redid some of it and claimed it as his own. How he was a second rate practitoners grasping at the coat tails of Crowley and probably never had an original thought in his mind unless there was a way to scam another person.

We can say that Wicca, going along with your way of thinking, is a scam since it's not his work, his idea, but I'm sure he made a buck or two off of it.

The way things start is not as important as to what they evolve into.
