White sage and desert sage work best, I do not believe burning culinary sage does anything.

actually all sage has their place in the cleansing world it would wrong to say one variation does not work, but however different variations tend to have a particular edge to certain situations like white sage is specially significant in use of exorcisms

Your wright, kitchen sage can be used as a substitute if white or desert isn't available.

If you have even a small garden, sage is easy to grow. But it does tend to spread, so needs to be "pruned" now and then. Mint is also easy to grow. In fact, most herbs are easy to grow!

You could make a box. One about 30cm by about 20cm would be able to grow quite a few herbs. Make sure there are holes in the bottom for drainage.

if its possible you can always buy white sage as incense, i have 2 canisters of white sage incense sticks that i use quite often and i love them a real lot, they also have many magical uses. i dont think the sage used for cooking would work though

I'd like to mention that burning sage is a ritual,
it's the intent of banishment that does most of the work.

Sage and especially culinary sage is a great herb for boosting attention.
With a combination of choline supplements,
can be used to treat, maybe even cure ADHD.

I myself have found it to be extremely effective,
I use choline-bitartrate with pantheotic acid to generate acetylcholine.
they are essential-nutrients, which are typically absent from most food.

Sage itself is an acetylcholine reuptake inhibitor,
meaning that what you start focusing on,
you continue focusing on,
so long as you use sage.

so it's actually recommend to only use sage occasionally,
since obviously you need to switch your focus,
to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
