Is my power wierd?

It seems a tad odd....the conversation about whether or not it is, is even odder...I've never communicated with animals like that so I just say more power to you.

if what you mean is that you can understand what certain meows, growls, purrs etc mean in a linguistic way, while rather odd it does seem perfectly possible, if not plausible.

If this is the case, then, like other languages one need only practice speaking it more often to improve ones linguistic skills with such language.

However, if you're talking any human language with a cat and its starts talking back in the same manner, well either you're cats possessed by an intelligent spirit of some sort or you're just going insane.
