I can talk to my cats too.
The reason why its not as strong as it used to be is probably because you've gotten older, things like animal commication, speaking with ghosts, psychic, etc. can be weakened with age, because our minds are actually more open to spirits as children, at least thats what I believe.
I can talk to cats but haven't been able to practice their language (Felinus is the closest english translation of it's name) since my two cats died. We haven't gotten any new ones because a member of the household is allergic to them and has athsma ( not a good combo). No it can't be cured magically. But the only tip is to practice. It is not weird, it's a language and some people have more natural ability to speak it.
I know there is such thing as telepathy that you can use to talk to animals. But talking psychically. Now there may you have been watching to many cartoons lol :D
But telepathy is very easy and takes a while to learn but can use it to talk to animals that way. Here there thoughts etc.
Animal Communication is something any one can learn with enough practice. You can find books on the subject,And there are animal communication classes as well. You can even learn it online. I am in the process of getting my certificate in Animal Therapy and communication.,from my reiki instructor.
my sister had a cat,
i was house sitting and watching the cat as it was a kitten at the time, its name was lumos and he always sat on the sofa when i was there he avoided everyone but me and when i was watching him one day i started talking to him, it was strange, he always looked at me with answer high upon his face, one day my sister sold him off to a family over in a place in england called portsmouth, i dont live over there but i still see lumos round everywhere i am? thats what i call creepy!
If you could talk to cats and they talk back, it could mean you have a tumor. Get a cat scan just in case and if they find nothing wrong then your good.
