De Javu is merely an "impression" on the brain. You "see" an image, almost like an instant photograph, that impresses itself on the brain. Then there is an almost instant re-play of the image; so you think you have seen it before. People with epilepsy experience dejavu many times during a Petit Mal. My wife has epilepsy, and I cannot count the number of times she has "been here before", when it is impossible for her to have done so. Dejavu is an illusion, and it can at times be quite frightening.

I know this is pedantic, but the term is 'deja vu', not 'de javu'. And as Brysing says, it is a trick of the mind that can be brought about by epilepsy or similar disorders. It also occurs when the brain forgets something that is learned but a trace of the memory remains, and similar situations invoke a feeling of familiarity. It is not however a gift or ability of any kind.

Yes, Luis, your spelling is correct. I was spelling it as others on the site, Deja Vu it is. By the way, my wife's epilepsy is now very much controlled by a wonderful drug, Tegretol; so she does not get much Deja Vu these days.

The ability to read people ..eyes or otherwise I would assume is a mixture of intuition and empathy.
I personally can read people quite well in a face to face situation.

Deje Vu is kinda confusing to me. I always dreamed something and then it'd happen randomly days, weeks, months even years later and recognize it seconds before it starts. That's what I was under the impression that's what Deja Vu was. Any one wanna help clarify for me please? ^^

@AberrantWard What you described about dreams sounds more like precognitive dreams to me than it does Deja Vu.

As for Deja Vu I've always been lead to believe that its a malfunction of the brain chemicals which sends the image or feeling signal to the brain before the event happens, thats my rational point of view on it, but I also have an open minded view on it aswell, with my open minded view I think of it as being a conformation that we are following the right path that we choose for our souls to learn while we are here and that we've just had a flash back to the things/places that we've picked to do or learn here.
The latter is just my open minded opinion on it which I mostly associate only with really strong deja vu's, if they're just normal run of the mill deja vu's I'm more inclined to explain it to rational thinking.

Deja Vu is nothing to do with souls, spirits, or ghosts. It is very common in people with epilepsy, and some other mental conditions. It is a belief that you have seen a place, a person, a scene, before; when in reality you have not. What happens is that the optical nerve endings "see" the scene a fraction of a second before it registers on the brain. It's an illusion; but it can seem very real.
