This is true, and indeed all things are subject to change, in fact change is one of the only absolutes in the universe. (besides the speed of light!) and I agree to remember that we all started knowing nothing or knowing false information is of utmost importance.
I can find fault in my own overly scholarly view of the sites function forgetting that people come to socialize only because I do not usually socialize here besides in my covens chatter, I am guilty of projection of my own feelings more often than I would like to admit.
At the same time, debate should never be quaffed merely because one side has been able to artfully decimate the other sides argument for discussion and resolution of disagreements is useful to the whole of the community and allows for forward progress of everyone involved. No one person should be able to say "you will never understand my correct argument until you have reached my level of enlightenment" and be received as someone who can be a good influence on anyone coming new or old to this site. I would say or the world in general but that statement would rightfully be met with a white jacket and padded walls in the real world. That or a bunch of impressionable minds paying to earn levels of enlightenment, but we have that in Scientology already.
In the chatter, if the topic is being adhered to, and it is not breaking any rules, being forced to change the subject is not only a blatant misuse of power but also detrimental to the collective knowledge base.
Maybe it is the responsibility of those that do have a bit more knowledge and/or experience to engage and contribute to the community more than we do, I am not sure. It does seem like a worthwhile discussion to have thought, does it not?

Gorgeous, Arca! Talk about enlightenment! You brought up a lot of good points about what is wrong with some narrow-minded people in this world today.(and not only here)
You were right when you said that understanding wisdom does not come from knowing, it has to come from being humble and willing to take both direction and criticism. For how do you know you are right, when you don't know you are wrong?
Anyway, your posts and others comments were really interesting reading to me and to the ones who wrote back.
Oh, by the way, my mom always said that "if you go with the herd, eventually you'll all be slaughtered", or something like that. Hope everyone understands the message behind that saying.

My mom always made us bow to the moon 3 times out of respect and she didn't even know a thing about wicca/witchcraft/spellcasting or whatever anyone would choose to call it, but she always said the moon needs to be respected.
As for the site needing to change I wouldn't say that as such just maybe some people need to actually do a little bit of research for themselves instead of looking for someone to give them the fast route to learning information, I mean books are there for a reason ;) nothing wrong with asking for help with what your trying to learn just as long as long as your willing to put your own time into finding out what right for you aswell,
We're all going to have different paths and ideas about things and we wont always agree on things thats the way world works, and I think the world would be pretty dull if we did all agree with each other, and well we should all remember that and be respectful of each others diffrence of opinions and learn from them, I may not agree with some of the concepts of the dark arts but I'm willing to accept them and learn from them because it helps built my knowledge about different things even though I wouldn't consider walking that path, and acknowledge that there must be both dark/light/positive/negative influnces in this world to actually kept it balanced.
Oh and nothing to do with anything much ...the postie just delivered my natural raw crystals from Southern Africa thought I just share that with you lol I'm off to examine them now :)
