The Basics

Preparation: First smudge your altar, second invoke your Spirit Guides, third cast your circle.

Casting: Just follow the instructions and do exactly as it says to do with the ingredients.

Finishing: Be sure to thank your Spirit Guides for helping you cast your spell.

Cleaning Up: Make sure there is no ash from the incense burned, no running wax left behind from candles lit, etc. Put everything back as it should be and relax.

Candles: Candles help to channel energy, focus energy, attract energy, and repel energy, all according to what you need. Certain colors have different effects. You can find a list of these effects by scrolling down.

Chanting: Chanting helps some people to focus and direct energy into a certain spot while casting a spell. Other people, such as myself, are distracted more then aided by these words being spoken so find it easier to cast in silence. Decide which way is better for you and cast your spells accordingly. Words are not required, but for many people they are helpful.

Incense: Incense helps to channel, focus, attract, and repel energy similar to how candles do. Likewise, different incense scents have different effects and you can find a list of those effects by scrolling down.

Herbs: There are two lists of herbs here. One is in the Incense list, just forget the burning part. The other is just a short list of basic herbs used for common practice.

Stones: Stones can be used for various purposes. Mostly their mere presence is enough to aid in the casting of spells, although certain spells may require you being a little more active with the stones present.

Casting a Spell: Regardless of whether or not the instructions remind you to; be sure to visualize the good results you want. Keep your goal in mind, know that it will work, and don't worry about it.

Modifying a Spell: If you want to cast a spell, but see something that you don't like the thought of doing, such as cutting yourself to add your own blood, try substituting it somehow. Add something that fits in with the spell and should have the same results. The spell may not be as strong, but it should still work. Just be sure to ask your peers about what you're doing to ensure you are adding the best possible substitute. You may find that it might actually be better to just drop that specific ingredient without a replacement for it.

Creating a Spell: First decide what kind of spell you want to cast. Once you have that look through the list of candles, incenses and herbs, and stones here to decide what all should be present during the casting of your spell. You can come up with a chant to go along with the spell and help you to focus your energy where it needs to be as well.

Moon Cycles
New Moon: During this phase spells which get rid of things will have the best success rates.
Waxing Moon: During this phase spells which gain things (money, hair, etc) will be at their peak.
Full Moon: All magic is much more powerful on the night of the full moon, during this phase spells which deal with power and magical energies will be at their strongest.
Waning Moon: During this phase spells which deal with the doing away of destruction of things will work best.

Days
Sunday: Good for spells that will aid in the success of a task.
Monday: Good for spells that affect your home, garden, plants, etc.
Tuesday: Good for justice or vengeance spells as well as curses, hexes, etc.
Wednesday: Good for inspiration or confidence spells.
Thursday: Good for money, luck, business, and fortune spells.
Friday: Good for love, romance, fertility, grace, and glamour spells.
Saturday: Good for any spells that may bring Karma of any kind.

Halloween: Halloween is said to be the day when the border between the Spirit World and the Material World is at it's weakest. This may be the best day of the year to cast any spells that require or involve a Spirit.

Midnight: Just like Halloween, midnight is said to be the time when Spirits are most active. It is also the darkest time of the day. For night spells or spells involving Spirits, midnight is a great time to cast at.

Naturally; day spells should be cast during the day, night spells at night, dawn at dawn, and dusk at dusk. Some spells don't require a specific time, some spells need to be done once every so often after certain times, and some spells are very specific with what time they have to be cast. Some are even so specific as to require that you start at a certain time and carry on until a certain time. But, all that should be included within the explanation of how to cast the spell.

Altar: An altar is a table or otherwise level surface that can be used for rituals and spellcraft. Altars can be set up differently according to different religions. Also, naturally, different religions use different tools for their setup. Listed below are some of the most common tools, but if you were to set up a Taoist altar none of them would be needed nor listed except for a candle or two and a cup of water. Other then that it's just seven bowls of fruit(each color-coded to represent a chakra), a bowl of rice, and a cup of wine for the Taoist altar.

Altar Cover: The cover you put on your Altar is optional all together, but I suggest you put something that you find comforting on it or something you feel would help you somehow. A silk white sheet, black if you like that better, an cover with the image of your deity on it, etc. It's a good way to keep your Altar clean since you can just shake it off when you're done if any ingredients spilled out onto it.

Altar Setup: The setup of the altar should be a personal thing. It can be according to your religion, according to the most common setup you've seen, just scattered with no specific setup, but to put it simply your altar should be set up in a way that is comforting and fitting to you. It needs to feel right to you. If it does not feel right to you, then it is not set up right. Then and only then can it be said that your altar is set up incorrectly.

Bells/Chimes: Bells and chimes both create sounds that are pleasant to Spirits and other inter-planar beings. Having a number of brass bells or a few Edo Furin placed on or around your Altar can help with many spells and rituals.

Basins: You should have two basins on your Altar, one for sea salt and the other for fresh water. Both are required for various spells and rituals.

Cauldron: A cauldron can be a large pot of almost any kind, so long as it is capable of holding objects that you need boiled.

Mortar and Pestle: A mortar and pestle is used for grinding/pounding a substance(usually herbs, in this case) into a powder. The mortar is the object used for pounding or grinding, the pestle is the bowl shaped for the job of containing the powdering substance.

Goblet/Chalice: A ceremonial goblet or chalice is good to use when having to drink a potion or any ceremonial beverage for any reason. There are a number of different rituals, including simple ceremonies, that require the use of a chalice.

Incense Holder: The incense holder is, of course, to hold your incense with as it burns and keep the ashes from getting all over your Altar.

Religious Symbol or Figure: If you are a Christian then you would use a cross. Wiccans without a particular deity may choose the Star of David or Pentagram. Pagans may choose a statue or a picture depicting the God(s)/Goddess(es) they favor. Etc. Pick some kind of holy representation that is special or important to you and place it at the head of your Altar.

Representations of the Elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, pick something that represents these elements. You can have something such as a fan, a jar of dirt, a lighter, and a water bottle, or you can have pictures/statues of elemental entities.

Ceremonial Blade: Many at least have a ceremonial knife, but you can also have a ceremonial sword for when you need the longer reach. The knife can be used for cutting fruit or other knifely things while the sword can be used for drawing symbols in the ground while performing a ritual that calls for it. Some places in the North will replace the knife with the sword entirely as the sword is more representative of a warrior then a knife is.

Wand/Staff: The wand and the staff are representative of Air/Wind. They are generally used to cast ritual circles and direct energy during a spell or ritual. Most commonly they are made personally by the owner and customized for the individual, also they seem to work best when made of a wood base. Naturally, you can add things like a crystal or other rock to the tip, feathers to the end, carve special symbols along the center, etc. The wand is most commonly associated with female spell-casters while the staff is more masculine, but neither tool is gender-specific. Anyone can use either.

Ingredients: Your ingredients may include herbs, candles, stones, and anything else a spell or ritual may ask for. These can be kept in drawers of your Altar, if it has them, in separate boxes near your Altar, in bags, in bottles, but regardless of how or where you want to store them I suggest keeping them near your Altar. That way when you want to cast a spell or perform a ritual the ingredients won't be to far away.

No tools are seriously required for any form of energy manipulation. However, divination requires reading certain things or finding meaning in certain happenings to make predictions. And so, I will explain how to decide for yourself which tools are and are not required.

Most forms of divination have to do with a certain topic or element. For example, tarot will obviously involve tarot cards. The act of divining through tarot involves reading the cards drawn and so no cards means no divination, tarot cards are therefore required.

Other forms include hydromancy, pyromancy, geomancy, and aeromancy to list the four basic elements. Hydro means water, pyro means fire, geo means earth and aero means air. So, naturally, hydromancy requires water to be present, pyromancy requires fire to be present, geomancy requires earth(or earth related objects such as wood or stone) to be present, and aeromancy requires air(most commonly wind) to be present. In these cases it is possible to use an elemental subtype, such as smoke for fire. The subtypes are listed in the element lessons.

There are dozens, possibly hundreds, of other forms of divination, however I trust knowing what you now know your own common sense can guide you with knowing what is required with them.

The only other art I have encountered which would require something present is kinesis. You can't control flames without fire, you can't control wind without air, you can't control waves without water, and you can't control plants without earth. Likewise with plain telekinesis you can't lift an item that is not there, so obviously certain things are required with that art.

Some arts, rather then requiring a certain tool, require a partner. As a prime example, telepathy. You can not read nor send to someone who does not exist.

Green: Abundance, growth, money, success, wealth, physical healing, health, marriage, fertility, employment, balance, stimulates growth, healing, financial success, good luck, new job, good harvest, nature appreciation, love.

Yellow: Intellect, wisdom and honor, action, inspiration and creativity, studying and intelligence, concentration, memory, logic, learning, attraction, confidence, mental powers, intellect, inspiration, concentration, retention of memory, energy, cheerfulness, sunny disposition, changes, endurance, stability and security. Yellow strengthens the imagination and concentration in a ritual. Is used in rituals in which the trust of a person is gained or in which one wants to convince someone.

Red: Energy, vitality, and strength, health, passion, sex, love, protection, fire, fertility, fast action, strength, potency, lust, blood, physical love and passion, courage, warmth, energy, attraction, magnetism, desire, action, physical strength, power, willpower. Strengthens magnetism in a ritual, creates Ram and Scorpio energies.

White: The Balance of all colors; Spiritual enlightenment, cleansing, clairvoyance, healing, truth-seeking, purity, innocence, clarity and unity, Dawn, purification, peace, truth, protection, spirituality, general work, cleansing, repels negativity; use to bring peace, spiritual strength, truth, purity; heals emotions, and provides protection. White can be used in place of any other candle color and is suitable for any ritual.

Pink: Devotion, love, tenderness and faith, friendship, romance, honor, spiritual healing, caring, affection, forming partnerships, peace, emotional healing, universal love, purest form of love, love that is unconditional, spiritual love without sex connotation, raises vibrations, sensitivity, healing. Designed to attract attention and achieve a purpose in rituals. The color of femininity, honor, pleasantness – enhances joyful and lively conversation.

Gold: Enlightenment, protection, success, wealth, money, masculinity, playfulness, luck, divination, victory. Enhances communication and attracts the power of cosmic influences; useful in rituals which are designed to gain fortune or money.

Lavender: Mother consciousness, manifestation and selflessness, Spirituality, compassion, understanding, inspiration, make contact with Higher-Self, attract spiritual assistance, very calming. Can also aid in Astral Projection or contacting/communing with Spirit Guides.

Blue: Communication, truth, peace, calm, weight-loss, wisdom, understanding, protection, harmony, inspiration, truth, patience, health and happiness, luck, communication, loyalty, peaceful, cooling, contentment, healing, idealism, harmony, devotion, meditation.

Orange: Cleanses negative attitudes, situations and places, Happiness, business deals, attracting good things, success, career, goals, stimulation, attraction, power, luck, sudden changes, Warmth, energy building, enthusiasm, attracts success and prosperity, emotional healing, attracts friends, courage and ambition.

Brown: Earth, a balanced color. Rituals for material gain, eliminates indecisiveness, furthers powers of concentration, learning, telepathy. Expands financial success, finds lost items. Material prosperity, Home, friendships, balance, animal magic, earth magic, concentration and studying, wealth, success, intuition, psychic powers and ESP. Protecting pets, said to help find lost items.

Purple: Use with white candle to neutralize effects of karma and ego. Ancient wisdom, the third eye, psychic powers, meditation, spirituality, success, confidence, hidden knowledge, protection, divination, All forms of expansion, expands what you already have, spiritual protection, power, wisdom, healing, recognition, enhances psychic ability, Recognition in work, contact with spirit world.

Rose: Compassion for self and others, higher mystical powers, humor, Love, romance, opening the heart, forgiveness, compassion, healing, joy, creativity, endurance, strength, stability and security.

Peach: Restoration and rejuvenation.

Violet: Strength, Success, Idealism, psychic revelation; Ideal for rituals which are designed to secure Ambition, Independence and financial success or to establish contact with the other, spiritual world; Enhances Neptune energy.

Ivory/Beige: Neutrality, balance and harmlessness.

Black: Burning black with any other color dissolves negative energies. Protection, hex-breaking, reversing, banishing, destroying evil or negativity, binding, and repelling. Also used for healing very powerful illnesses.

Silver: Victory, Stability, Meditation, Developing Psychic Ability, Removal of Negative Power, Repelling Destruction, Cancellation, Neutrality, Stalemate. Silver is primarily associated with female deities.

Candles are traditionally burned for various reasons. Talking to God(gods/goddesses), developing a spiritual understanding, meditation, various religious services, romance, relaxation/stress-relief. They are very good for worshiping deities, casting spells, and healing.

The colors listed above go with various items aside from candles, however there may be slight alterations according to what object/substance you are using. For example; Red Wine may have many of the attributes of a red candle, but it can also stand for intoxication due to the alcohol content.

This list is to explain what incense you should use for which types of spells. It may not be perfect, but it is a good guide line to follow.

Acacia: Burned with Sandalwood to stimulate the psychic powers.
African Violet: Burned for protection and to promote spirituality within the home.
Allspice: Burned to attract both good luck and money.
Aloes: Burned to attract good fortune, love, spiritual vibrations and strength.
Althea: Burned for protection and to stimulate psychic powers.
Anise Seeds: Burned as a meditation incense.
Basil: Burned to exorcise and protect against evil entities (such as demons and unfriendly ghosts), and to attract fidelity, love, good luck, sympathy, and wealth. This is also an excellent incense to use when performing love divinations.
Bay: Burned to facilitate the psychic powers and to induce prophetic dream visions.
Bayberry: Burned mainly to attract money.
Benzoin: Burned for purification and to attract prosperity.
Bistort: Burned (often with Frankincense) as a powerful incense to aid divination.
Bracken: Burned in outdoor fires to magically produce rain.
Blue Berry: Burn to keep unwanted influences away from your home and property.
Blue Roses: Specially crafted to honour the Wiccan Goddess in all her aspects.
Carnations: A sweet floral scent traditionally used for healing.
Cedar: Burned for purification, to stimulate or strengthen the psychic powers, attract love, prevent nightmares and heal various ailments including head colds.
Cherry: Sacred to Venus, this blend will attract and stimulate love.
Cinnamon: Use to gain wealth and success.
Citron: Burned in rituals to aid healing and also to strengthen the psychic powers.
Clove: Burned to dispel negativity, purify sacred and magickal spaces, attract money, and stop or prevent the spread of gossip.
Coconut: Burn for protection and purification.
Damiana: Burned to facilitate psychic visions.
Dittany of Crete: Burned to conjure spirits and to aid in astral protection (especially when mixed with equal parts of Benzoin, Sandalwood and Vanilla).
Dragon's Blood: Burned to dispel negativity, exorcise evil supernatural entities, attract love, and restore male potency. Many Witches also burn Dragon's Blood for protection when spell-casting and invoking. When added to other incenses, Dragon's Blood makes their magickal powers all the stronger.
Elecampane: Burned to strengthen the clairvoyant powers and scrying (divination by gazing) abilities.
Fern: Burned in outdoor fires to magickally produce rain, also used to exorcise evil supernatural entities.
Frankincense: Burned to dispel negativity, purify magickal spaces, protect against evil, aid meditation, induce psychic visions, attract good luck, and honor Pagan deities.
Fumitory: Burned to exorcise demons, poltergeists and evil supernatural entities.
Galangal: Burned to break curses cast by sorcerers.
Ginseng Root: Burned to keep wicked spirits at bay, and for protection against all forms of evil.
Gotu Kola: Burned to aid meditation.
Heather: Burned to conjure beneficial spirits, and to magickally produce rain.
Hibiscus Flowers: Burned to attract love.
Honeysuckle: Burn for good health, luck, and psychic power.
Horehound: Burned as an offertory incense to the Ancient Egyptian god Horus.
Jasmine: Burned to attract love and money, and also to induce dreams of a prophetic nature.
Juniper: Burned to stimulate or increase the psychic powers and also to break curses and hexes cast by evil sorcerers
Lavender: Burned to induce rest and sleep, and to attract love (especially of a guy).
Lilac: Burned to stimulate or increase the psychic powers, to attract harmony into one's life.
Lotus: For inner peace and outer harmony, to aid in meditation and open the mind's eye.
Mace: Burned to stimulate or increase the psychic powers.
Mastic: Burned to conjure beneficial spirits, stimulate or increase psychic powers, and intensify sexual desires. The magickal powers of other incenses are greatly increased when a bit of Mastic is added.
Mesquite: The magickal powers of all healing incenses are greatly increased when Mesquite is added.
Mint: Burned to increase sexual desire, exorcise evil supernatural entities, conjure beneficial spirits and attract money. Mint incense also possesses strong healing vibrations and protective powers.
Musk: Burn for courage and vitality, or to highten sensual passion.
Myrrh: Burned (often in Frankincense) for purification, consecration, healing, exorcism, and banishing evil. Myrrh also aids meditation rituals, and was commonly burned on altars in Ancient Egypt as an offering to the deities Isis and Ra.
Nutmeg: Burned to aid meditation, stimulate or increase psychic powers and to attract prosperity.
Passionflower: For peace of mind, this sweet scent will soothe troubles and aid in sleep.
Patchouli: Burned to attract money and love, and also to promote fertility.
Pine: Burned for purification, and to banish negative energies, exorcise evil supernatural entities, and attract money, as well as to break hexes and return them to their senders.
Poppy Seeds: Burned to promote female fertility, and to attract love, good luck, and money.
Rose: Burned to increase courage, induce prophetic dreams, and attract love. Rose incense is used in all forms of love enchantment and posses the strongest love vibration of any magickal incense.
Rosemary: Burned to purify, aid in healing, prevent nightmares, preserve youthfulness, dispel depression, attract fairy-folk, and promote restful sleep and pleasant dreams.
Rue: Burned to help restore health.
White Sage: Burned for protection against all forms of evil, and to purify sacred spaces and ritual tools, promote wisdom, attract money, and aid in healing the body, mind and soul.
Sagebrush: Burned to aid healing, and to banish negative energies/entities, same effect as White Sage although to a lesser extent.
Sandalwood: Burned to exorcise demons and evil ghosts, conjure beneficial spirits, and to promote spiritual awareness. Sandalwood incense is also used by many Witches in healing rituals and in wish-magick.
Solomon's Seal: Burned mainly as offertory incense to ancient Pagan deities.
Spirit: Raise your personal vibration, attract spirit guides and honour your personal deity.
Star Anise Seeds: Burned to stimulate or increase the psychic powers.
Strawberry: For love, luck and friendship.
Sweetgrass: Burned to conjure beneficial spirits prior to spell casting.
Tangerine: A solar aroma used to attract prosperity.
Temple: A devotional incense for the altar during ritual.
Thyme: Burned for the purification of magickal spaces prior to rituals, to aid in healing, and to attract good health.
Vanilla: Burned to attract love, increase sexual desire and improve the powers of the mind.
Vervain: Burned to exorcise evil supernatural entities.
Vetivert: Burned to break curses, and for protection against sorcery (black magick) and thieves.
Willow: Burned to avert evil, attract love, and promote healing. It is also used by many Witches as offertory incense for Pagan lunar deities.
Wisteria: Burned for protection against all forms of evil.
Wormwood: Burned to stimulate or increase the psychic powers. When mixed with Sandalwood and burned at night in a cemetery, wormwood is said to be able to conjure spirits from their graves.

These incenses in their plant form(herbs, spices, etc) are still affective and useful when not burned as an incense and usually have much of the same properties. The act of burning such herbs and spices as incense is simply to get the affects of the plant into the air and throughout an area.

Sage: Sage is used to repel negativity. Whether it is negative residual energy, negative spirits, or negative thoughts, sage can be very powerful for this purpose.

Tobacco: Tobacco, aside from being smoked by many, can be used as an offering for the Spirits. Whether your toss pure(chemical-free) tobacco upon the roots of a tree you borrow a branch from or burn it as thanks to a spirit who helped you, tobacco is generally a kind way of showing your gratitude.

Sweet Grass: Sweet Grass is commonly used to attract Spirits. Be warned, this should not be done until after burning Sage unless you want to attract Spirits who will try to stop you from achieving your goals.

Mint: Used for calming the mind, repelling negativity, and freshening your breath, Mint is very helpful for many things.

Lavender: Lavender has a way of pleasing Spirits, including your own, making Astral Projection and meditation much easier and more beneficial.

Frankincense and Myrrh: Generally considered purifying and rejuvenating/regenerating, Frankincense and Myrrh are often used in blessings and offerings.

Ceder Heart: Ceder represents power, protection, and safety. Although not commonly burned unless it is made into an incense, many Native Americans would carry a piece of Ceder Heart(the red part at the middle of the tree) in their medicine bags.

Rose: Rose is generally used for spells that affect other people and the different colors have different meanings. These meanings are similar to those of candles, although some may be different. Here is a list of the Rose colors and their meanings.

Yellow- Friendship, Unbridled Joy, Promise of a new beginning, Gladness, Delight, Warmth, Good Luck, Welcome Back, Remember Me

Orange- Fascination, Passion & Desire, Enthusiasm and Energy, Pride

Red- Love & affection, Romantic & Abiding Love, True Love, Desire, Courage and Passion, Congratulations, Respect and Appreciation, Honest Beauty, Bliss to Marriage, Deep passion, Readiness for a commitment, Unconscious beauty

Purple- Enchantment and Magnetism, Opulence and Majesty

Blue- Mystery and Ambiguity, The impossible or The unattainable, Mysterious beginnings of new things

Pink- Grace and Elegance, Admiration for beauty and refinement, Sweetness, Gentleness, Joy, Admiration, Sympathy, Harmony and Warmth

White- Purity and Innocence, Reverence and Humility, Heavenly and Honor, Everlasting love, Marriages and New Beginnings, Beauty and Youthfulness, Remembrance

For the corresponding purposes, have these stones sorted around or on your Altar. You can also keep a Medicine Bag(or, as I believe it may be called around here, a Satchel) attached on your belt, in your purse, in your bag of any kind, or in one of your pockets and keep these stones in there.

Before undertaking any task, especially spell-casting, it is important to know that your Spirit Guides are there to help. Unfortunately, the Spirit Guides will only help you to a certain degree unless you ask for more. Here is how you can do that.

1) Play some soft meditation music that will help you to relax and clear your mind of negativity.
2) Visualize yourself in a safe and secure place where your Spirit Guides can meet you.
3) Clear your mind of all images except that of your Spirit Guides.
4) Request your Spirit Guides for help with the corresponding purposes in the following order:

First Spirit Guide- is for your self image or appearance.(Self-Guide)
Second Spirit Guide- is to help balance your emotions.(Emotion-Guide)
Third Spirit Guide- is to help keep you healthy.(Body-Guide)
Fourth Spirit Guide- is for your mental growth and learning.(Mind-Guide)
Fifth Spirit Guide- is for advising and encouraging.(Element-Guide)

Seventh Spirit Guide- is your protector.(Safety-Guide)

If you know their names then that can help you in requesting their help, if not then refer to them by the name listed to the right of the description. If you'd like you can refer to them as ''Guide of my ***'' instead. So, for example, the first one would be the Guide of my Self, second would be Guide of my Emotions, etc.

If you need me to tell you what to say, then say the following, but coming up with your own personal greeting, request method, and show of gratitude may be more effective since then it is all coming straight from you. Here's what you can say if you can't think of anything for yourself at the moment;

''Spirit of my Self, please help me to begin my tasks.
Spirit of my Emotions, please help me to be balanced.
Spirit of my Body, help me to stay fit and healthy.
Spirit of my Mind, help me to learn and grow.
Spirit of my Element, advice and encourage me, help me to do right.
Spirit of my Spirit, guide me in this life as you will guide me out.
Spirit of Safety, help to guide and protect me.

Guide me with your wisdom, guide me with your knowledge, help me to stay safe and learn what I need to learn. Help me to stay balanced, help me to stay strong, help me with all the following tasks at hand.''

You can then follow that last line by listing some things you need/want help with. This is a good way to start your day or to make sure your Spirit Guides will help you with the specific job/spell/whatever that you are about to do. At the end of the day, or at the end of the specific task, say this;

''Spirit Guides of mine, thank you for your help. Thank you for your wisdom, your guidance, your protection, and your aid. Thank you for your knowledge and for allowing me to accomplish the tasks I had this day.''

And you are done. Never forget to thank your Spirit Guides, even if you do forget to request their help. Knowing that you are grateful may encourage them to be even more watchful without your requesting their aid.

Keep in mind that you don't have to do anything as long or fancy as what I listed. You can keep it short and simple, but it is good to list the Spirit Guides as individuals.

Many people request a powerful spell or seek out powerful witches and wizards. They are right in seeking powerful people, but wrong that any spell would be more powerful then any other. No one spell is any more powerful then any other.

The tools used are only props. Or, as may be a better term for them, a crutch. They are not needed and the fact that you believe they are needed limits you. It hinders you and sets a boundary upon what power you have.

The key to magick is belief.

What you believe you can not do limits what you can do. What you believe you require limits what you can do without that object. A truly powerful spell caster needs no tools, speaks no chants, and abides by no limitations.
