I agree with what you said about being "cool", 4321.

It seems these role-players just want to show off and fabricate a divine life just to impress people.

Well one thing I've notice on this site is that true, legitimate knowledge, experiences, dedication to studies, and the very will to learn usually is the most impressive... or at least to those who are serious about it all.
There are still those who are role-players and fall for their own tricks, finding the same lies told by other just as impressive which unfortunately- is the route of it all; role-players competing with role-players for the next big story and adventure.
The competitive nature of humanity I suppose is what generates role-playing.

Sad really. :|

Demon... It is quite possible to be considered a demon (not by blood but by rituals and gaining their trust)
Elf... (same as Demon)

Agreed, roleplayer's overwhelm the internet, spreading their vile disease upon us, all they are looking for are ways to become noticed... but it all ends up with them gagged and looking stupid.

Yet heres the questoin:

Whats worse, having people RP things that most of us know to be not possible(like werefish, I mean come on, unless parana that might be cool, but can you imagine being part goldfish or something).

Or, having countless threads(like this one) that go on about the ptlessness of RPers and how they're so called ruining things. When the truth of the matter is, as long as you know whats fact is, then let them do as they please.

And if you want to argue that having the RPers ruins it for newbies, then think about this:

If they're really ment to learn this stuff(the occult and such) then they're going to be looking at more then just a website for info. They'll be looking for books, at many sites on the net(since its such a common thing these days, except for wizardry for some reason).

If they get led astray by RPers, then perhaps they weren't ment to learn it. They could just be looking for the simple 'how to cast a spell to do X' X being whatever crazy or unlikely desire they think could be aquired by just a simple spell.

So, to sum things up

YES we ALL know that RPers can be annoying
YES we ALL know that they mislead people
YES we ALL get tired of having to read thier many post claiming feats we fairly know can't be
and YES we ALL would like to see it come to an end so we don't have to deal with it

But the truth of the matter is, IT ISN't GOING TO HAPPEN
Like it or not, but we are stuck with RPers, just like fads are stuck with posers. Heck, thats probably the best analogy for them. RPers are our posers.

Anyways, personally I think the only way for this stuff to come to an end, is simply by not giving it more fuel. AKA, the less we talk about it, perhaps the less it'll happen, or at least the less of these complaining threads we'll have.

Just my thoughts,
Glim
