In your particular situation, I would have personally used the doll to connect to its creator, then break ties or reflect intention, and then burn the thing, using its ashes to ward my home and myself. But since the doll is no longer in your possession...I don't know what to tell you. I've heard of making a doll yourself and allowing it to take any ill will thrown at you. But LdyGry may know other ways. I find that when being targeted, it is best to use the counter-measure of that practice before attempting ways of your own.
