Blood magic

Powers stripped? That's overly excessive.

I've used "blood magick" before and its definitly somethng i wouldnt recomend to anyone who is starting out. We all have our own ways of practicing magick beccadragon some different then others, but that is our path.

Ive used blood magic to create protection sigils, i think of blood magic as a more personal way to heal, protect, or on the offence. I do not use it all the time because you can just go around offering it, blood is the most powerful possession you have, and if you have someone elses, thats a sign of love, trust, or bond, or friendship. You should never use it to summon a spirit cause you do not want anyone you distrust or 'think' you know to have possession of your blood, your very essence and will power of and for you, and you only.

I have recently posted a thread on the relationship between deities and blood magic, this might help you and others gain a further understanding of the reasons why blood is used before trying blood sacrifice. Remember to keep the utmost safety, and use clean, sterilized equipment.

There are a lot of criticisms about blood magic- personally, I think this is mostly down to lack of understanding and information about the practice. Many people feel the need to judge it without even having knowledge on the topic.

I agree with Aph in this case. I don't think people really understand how blood is used in certain practices or why. It's not this "evil dark" thing people seem to be equating it to- it's very personal, and very useful. I highly recommend looking deeper into it. Don't judge a book by its cover, and all that.

Its only dangerous if you dont know what your doing, i use this all the time to turn my blood into Blood Rudies.
