How does it work?

I'm not entirely sure how to ask this, but when it comes to the craft what would it be called when you cast spells on the spiritual level? As far as I know all my spells have been made from my emotions, I concentrate on what I want to do and the energy sort of flows from my body. I never really was sure what to call it, frankly all I know for a fact is that I have empathic abilities. Sometimes I can even glimpse details of the past from the color patterns I see in my head. Can anyone explain any of it? Or just anything really? All I know is what I figured out on my own. A small bit of guidance would really be appreciated.

Do you mean that you never need to use "stuff" for casting spells (candles, herbs, etc?)

If so, that's called "direct magick" or "psionics".

Unless you mean that you cast it on a spiritual level with spirits and meddling with the weave of Fate directly on its own level, in which case the closest I can think of to that is "theurgia".

Or, just plain "psychism". It's all easier to be/do than to label, though.

Yes I mean herbs and circles and the physical objects for casting some spells. I never needed those I could just concentrate and it would happen. (More or less) I don't have any good control over it.

I'd highly recommend having a look through this link:

http://thebookoft.wordpress.com/knowledge/witchcraft-from-the-ground-up/

It's a tutorial on direct magick, even though I've personally outgrown the energy paradigm, this was the only thing that really got me going and had effects. I hope it helps!

Glimpse of the past? You could be picking on emotional energy from the past. Have you been always empathetic?

Most Eastern philosophies use basic ritual to concentrate on what they want done, without using any props (though some props are occasionally used). Most notably is the Japanese use of KI or the Chinese use of CHI. Everyone's capable of doing it, it's just that the trappings of ritual works as a kind of mnemonic device, to help us focus. If you can work decently powered workings with mind alone, then, when you add candles and other tools, you're that much stronger.

My personal path is a combination Catholic/Wiccan/Shinto, so I tend to call what you do an application of KI.

I used to do that way you do,but you can get better and more efficient results if you learn to split the energy from the emotion, you would use the same energy, but when you get a strong emotion,a lot of energy is wasted, compared to elemental.Emotions and elemental energy are related, they are the same energy. When you need to make a strong magic, its recommended to use emotion, but for practicing, you can go further using elemental, and the emotional energy can last longer.A candle that burn twice as bright will also burn twice as fast.Private message me if you need somw help.

As far as I know. I could always sense emotions well, and have been able to pick up on them better then everyone around me. But it's hit and miss, if its one or two people I get a 98% accuracy on emotion reading, if there is more than five the signals are harder to read.

You should esteem more than literature and the understanding of a question will gradually come
