Homemade Scrying Bowl?

I am thinking of making a scrying bowl/mirror at home from scratch. Does anyone have any useful information or tips on doing so?

try Clay for the bowl, and for the mirror buy a reflective surface from a store with a wooden backing. Adorn it how you desire

I prefer using a crystal bowl with a quartz at the bottom, with black coffee covering it. You should see nothing more than a black reflective surface if your coffee is strong enough and you have used enough. Coffee is an herb of the mind and I find it works excellently as a catalyst for divination.
